Agreed mate, but we must surely be concerned by the lack of quality up front. Fletch ain't good enough, Wickham may have been a flash in the pan (it's too early to say), and Jozy doesn't have many goals in him. Gus has strengthened the squad, but not up front. We have 3 poor PL strikers who don't have 30 goals between them this season. We may not concede many but we won't survive without goals. I know it's early days but I am concerned. I don't want another relegation battle.
I know mate, it's the sheer amount of games it's over that makes it so impressive, I watched a documentary around the time of his death, so it popped in my head when I seen this. He scored 40-odd in 60 for Portugal too, and Portugal were ****e at the time.
I'm of an age when Eusebio was still playing. Whilst having kick abouts as kids we used to scream EUSEBIO!!!!!! as we volleyed a shot at goal. hahaha And not just once but every time we took a shot.
Evening guys, i trust the initial anger has died down'like i said earlier. its always a half decent game between us and (fortunately) it went our way yesterday. TBh i cant disagree with the score but you guys put up a decent fight. i think 9hope) we'll both be ok this season. Cheers guys and good luck for the rest of the season
I've just seen some extended highlights and we didn't look too bad at all. bar some 'snatched' finishes and a couple of great saves by Green we would have got summat. I suspect these were rose tinted highlights and i didn't see the ****e bits (wtf did happen at the end of the 1st half?) but we were at least threatening. Hey ho, win some you lose some.
Browns fault for the goal. ****ing ball watching & by the highlights Altidore & Giaccherini did well when they came on so hopefully both will start against Spurs.
