As a manger he fascinates me not sure we’ve ever had anyone quite like him Maybe it’s his limited English but he’s unerringly honest when he talks about the game. No idea where it will end up I’m sure we will have a rough period at some point but would love this lad to be a real success here
Just got home. Cracking day out as usual. Thought we were poor 11 v 11 but we take the point all day long. Onto Wednesday
thought it was a red in real time and replay confirmed that, the only complaint I had was referee missing some other big calls. The handball in the first half and the studs up mid height challenge on Connolly which TBH could and should have been a red as this is as dangerous a tackle as there is especially when they drag the studs down.
always poor vs the struggling teams and some player costs us, no chance of top 2 they always blow it just like Feb onwards last season i can see it coming weak as piss if they don't make top 6 this will be a disaster.
Jesus Monty are you taking the piss on a wind up? Your recollections are totally different to mine twice around the 50 min mark we hit their crossbar top left, I was up on my feet I thought they were both in, you're not taking into account their 12th man the ref gave us fek all and them everything, and they still couldn't score. My mam always told me if you've got nowt nice to say, keep quiet, if they had played shyte i may agree but in my view we played canny and don't deserve negatives of that size
Just think we were not quite at it, but we were not that bad either. I agree a bit with the ref as Mundle had a poor game but think that was due to some lenient refereeing regarding Dunne who was roughhousing all game. That will have been a good lesson for Mundle and he will now have to cope with being a marked man.
Not even carded with a yellow for studs up on connely, plus he missed a blatant handball in the 2nd half when their C/H brought the ball down between his 2 arms around his midriff just outside their box with the Linesman looking straight across from him and ref straight in front of him, disgrace of a ref
TBH not sure its worth commenting on any more, Refs in general are ****, not sure what they are watching sometimes. Just apply the rules and stop trying to overthink it you stupid bastards
Ha ha had to read that twice as I thought you were calling me and comfy stupid bastards for talking about the ref, then realised you were talking about the referees (at least I think you are ???).
Talking about the refs, sorry if it wasnt clear, I really am not sure what they are doing sometimes, think they are trying to be too clever, and turning out to be ****?
Totally agree mate yesterday we were not great or not as good as we have been but a few bad decisions from the officials did not help, the ref takes the blame but the assistants were as much to blame yesterday. No complaints about Jobes red card was th right decision, the couple of pushes and half challenges before that were minor but contributed to him losing control, however he knew that he had made a rash one and took his medicine like a seasoned professional and in a way I was proud of how he handled himself, no histrionics just checked on his opponent and left the field.
Unlike at least 4 of their players running to the ref and appealing for it (which I thought was a yellow card)
Last night - disappointed This morning - delighted I just looked at the table, and results, and Sunderland are 10 points clear of 7th place ... ... in fact you could say 11 points if you include goal difference. Norwich losing the game in the last few minutes, at Cardiff, is a much worse result than ours. Boro being battered 3-0 at home is as well imo. If Millwall can manage a draw, at home to Burnley, that would put the cap on the weekend for me. QPR had nothing to lose yesterday so I expected a 'different' kind of game. RLB is such a methodical manager I suspect he struggles with chaotic games like QPR and Plymouth whereas teams with a plan can be counteracted. This league is quite unpredictable but, if teams like Norwich, West Brom, Boro, etc, can keep dropping points, especially against each other, I honestly believe we'll finish in the top six. Even the bottom teams are capable of winning games you wouldn't expect. Plymouth beat Sunderland and Blackburn then go to Leeds, have 20% possession and fail to have a single goal attempt of any kind. Yesterday was a point away from home, incredible support and the unbeaten run goes on ... ... more wins, more goals and more points than anyone else, can't wait for Wednesday.
