It's very difficult to judge what's on another person's mind ... conjecture at best. Certainly I think (personally) a full season ban is a bit of an overaction in the particular circumstances. Stunning was on a wind up mission no question ... but so what? ... I suspect he will not be too inconvenienced by not being able to post on their board.

Wumming is part of football rivalry and it actually makes the boards more interesting IMHO, provided, of course, that it doesn't take over the topcs themselves and doesn't descend into the more unpleasant forms of personal abuse ...

I will take this opportunity to say that I've been impressed by Queenie's reaction to the pelters he has received from our lot on both team boards ...

    Queenie
has actually been quite good for our forum in terms of his input.
i.e what do we need if we get promoted? simply to trust in nigel and not panic if it isn't working first time better to be relegated with the squad we have than a squad of over paid mercenaries.
and football is a tribal game, which brings out the animal instincts in us. the ritual chanting and posturing

Queenie did dig himself a very big hole. As everyone has said he has taken his medicine and fair play

I still say the same though. Im not bothered at this stage of the season about winning the League. We have to get promotion and I would take 2nd place. Come the end of April if we can still win the league then I will want us to win the league aswell.

Queenie is right about us not being uncatchable, but the beauty of our position means it would need 2 teams to catch us for us to miss out which is a tall order

As I've written on other threads, it is IMHO better to be where we are - particularly when there are 2 or even 3 chasers (in fact there are four here if Forest beat Huddersfield) - the pressure on those chasers is enormous as they simply HAVE to win each game for the foreseeable future if they are to overhaul us - and they also need us to lose - something not in our psyche at the moment.

Yes - our winning momentum came to a halt against Watford ... yet bizarrely we've moved a further point clear. I recall last season chasing Cardiff - if ever they slipped up the chasers (including us for a while) just didn't seem to be able to capitalise on the blip.

3 very big games coming up for the chasers

Forest face a tricky trip to Huddersfield tonight - if Huddersfield don't win then any hopes of a play-off place look forlorn - win however and they could be in with a squeak of that last spot currently occupied by Reading.

Burnley have a potentially feisty derby at Bolton to contend with tonight - Bolton are by no means safe and I expect them to be fully committed this evening ...

Then on Sunday QPR host a very dangerous Reading side - if Reading lose the automatics then look like a remote possibility and the chasing pack for the last play-off spot will also be breathing down their neck ... but there is far more pressure on QPR in this one ... this is their third game in a row against top six opposition and so far they only have a point ... they'd have hoped for (and expected) far more ... the natives are getting restless ... there appears to be distinct disatisfaction with Harry's tactics on their board ...

Gonna be a very interesting few days and we can just sit back and enjoy the mayhem ... <cheers>

If Reading beat QPR on Sunday then you could say that 'Arry has successfully managed to bring two sides right into the Auto hunt within one week.

After watching DerbyvQPR I would say Reading only need to wind up Barton and he will talk his way to a red card. Then they (Reading) will be in the driving seat.

Even Rooney doesn't hassle the ref as much as Barton.

It's rare to get problem on the PL boards. The Arsenal lot moan when they don't get their way, and are horrible when they lose to a 'little' team, as can be Spurs when the mood takes them but on the whole, I don't see that you will have anything more to moderate. If anything, you will have less to do - with the exception of Hull <laugh>

I think the brief separation period has helped a lot, if we're spending a lot of time in close proximity next year then things might escalate!

    No problem boys
Always a big believer that if you cant take it, then donrt dish it out.
I'll put my hands up and say I took a (bad) gamble) that we were going to win a few whilst you lot lost a couple. It would be about bloody time.

fortunately for you guys, it didnt pan out that way and so I have to put my hands up because I know full well I'd have dished it out.

Not going to get drawn into the "stunning fox" thing but with regards to the money spent, i was talking more about the (dismal) time we were in the prem and what we spent there. far less than a lot thought.

Anyway, cant do much but congratulate you at the moment & hope that puts a "jinx" on the whole thing <laugh> <ok>

Good lad Queeny! Yeah you made some sweeping statements, which I always took in good heart unlike some! haha!
Anyway with Derby and Forest winning last night/tonight, it has really opened hings up nicely for real battle.
Burnley just keep churning out results and so fair play to them. they are looking strong and consistent.
All set up nicely. Let the games begin!

You spend £44.5m on transfer fees alone last season. What did people think you'd spent?!

We've only had a major issue with a Sunderland poster, and a smaller issue with another Sunderland poster, but the second one is connected to the first one. Other than that I don't think we've banned any "away" fans this season (other than spammers we've definitely done away with more accounts claiming to be our fans). When you consider we've had the name change issue on top of everything football related it's quite good going.

With the relaxed moderating, you lot are lucky to have had us as your bigger brothers on here showing you the way to go with it (;))so we've got two of the most relaxed forums for moderating. You just have to remember that different forums have different rules when you go elsewhere. That goes as far as banning as well. We both tend to only give out permanent bans because we use them as a last resort. I don't know what ban Stunning has been given on the QPR forum, but I know they use short term bans a lot more and have a system in place that sets out different bans for different offences and for repeat offences.
