Looking at it completely objectively no, they weren't. We were very much the orchestrators of our own demise. Our centre halves and centre midfield pairings were both awful. I think most teams in the premier league would have beaten us last night, we were ****e. I genuinely don't think Spurs were that good. They should have put six past is but didn't and relied on Jones's own goal to kill us off.
Yeah we where ****e, but I think you do have to give Spurs some credit the way they played. This battle for the top 4 places is really hotting up now. I would be concerned about our position but with how ****e Chelsea and Liverpool are, I think we should just about make it. Although we are struggling against the top sides, we seem just that bit better than Chelsea and Liverpool this season at beating the teams down the bottom.
Oh, I am. Like I said, they should have put six past us so they were creating chances and that's a true indication of the difference between both sides on the night. As ever, the media were way ott. They were good, yes, but United's own ineptitude made them appear a lot better than they actually were.
The Spurs lads are full of themselves tonight, they obviously rate us because they think they played amazing to beat us They are also babbling the usual ****e about refs but that's just their way
The main thing I dervived from Wednesday is what an absolute **** Delle Ali is. Massive tosser of the highest order, someone will knock the **** out of him soon and he'll deserve it.
If that kick on Sanchez was an off the ball incident, then Alli would have been sent off and be getting done for violent conduct. But when you watch it back, Alli knew exactly what he was doing, there is no way anyone could say that was a mistimed challenge or a genuine attempt for the ball. It was a deliberate kick aimed at Sanchez, probably to show off to the Spurs fans because Sanchez is ex Arsenal, so it should be treated the same way as an off the ball kick would be, and he should have recieved a red card and a charge of violent conduct.
