Would you have anyone else of their's or another (probably) relegated team if they were free?

That would be a good idea.
Seriously though, I think its the decent thing to do and be nice to Sir Alan.

I would take Mannone as back-up keeper.
    Maybe Caulker at Cardiff.

He would be a step up from Elliot - and if I'm honest, while not as good as Krull was earlier in the season, he's probably an improvement on the Krull we've seen since January.

This might sound like a wind-up to the mackems but its not intended as that - in the other direction I think that at championship level Shola would be a good (and probably cheap in terms of wages) option for Sunderland if he was played alongside a natural goalscorer. The championship is his natural level and his strength would be a bigger asset at that level than the prem. Cant see it happening, but if it did I'd see it as win/win for both parties.

As long as Shola didn't become the Geordie Slayer.

I just posted a thread on that lol. It's all over that he's signed a 4 year deal. I think we could do very well in the free agent market... Get colback, Hunt, ince, and Gomis on frees. Sign Cabella, Richards and another striker and were looking at 25 million spend with a ton of quality in depth. With Ben arfa and a few leaving i think considering the cabaye money we'd still have no net spend... Ashley could still take all that TV money to the bank...

To be fair to Slim Mike, if those transfers were to come off that yankmag mentioned then I think most people wouldn't give a monkeys about the tv cash and would say a good summer transfer window. Unfortunately we won't!
