Getting fourth place would not necessarily bring us 'greater long term success' Winning some silverware would not either but we are not going to become a major force again overnight. A trophy would be a start, albeit a minor one,and were going well in the F.A.cup aswell. Also,we are very much in the fight for fourth with fixtures arguably in our favour. Arsenal and Chelsea start Champions league again this week which may also have a bearing on which way it goes, plus they both have to visit Anfield. Not forgetting Newcastle who have had a great season but i expect us to finish above them come the end of the season. Still a long way to go,this can be a very good season for the reds. One step at a time.
Could be, yes. Let's just pray the players we have are able to step up to the plate and repay Kenny for all the loyality he has displayed to them in the last few months. If not, heads should role (not Kenny's)
Kylie and Bananas - preferably at the same time and place. With regards to the OP. It has to be top 4 for me, although I can't see it happening. Winning some silverware, even if it's only the league cup would still be nice though... Plus don't rule us out of a cup double
Disagree. Europe is essential for LFC and the UEFA has been a big part of our history just as the League Cup has. Devalued by UEFAs fannying around it may well be but I'd still rather be in that than in nothing. At the end of the day we haven't had that distraction this year and we're still not in a top 4 spot. In answer to the OPs question...both But as yet I'm not convinced we've earned a CL spot but we have certainly earned the right to fight Cardiff for the cup.
