True, a new manager but its the same team that didn't take the League Cup seriously when we had chance of a decent little run this year. I'm all for a cup run, its those games that you remember. I'm a little bit older than you Watford so have fond memories of the '90 quarter-final against Liverpool, Wilkins volley and being a few minutes away from the semi (which would have been Palace and I would have fancied our chances). Its a shame none of our younger fans have had anything like that cup run to get excited about. I am a little too young to remember 1982 and 1986 I saw on TV but no doubt many on here were there?
Rather have promotion, sadly the financial reward massively outweighs the cup. Initially I was hoping away at the Cobblers (my local shambles) however they are playing well and I can't be doing with the abuse if we were to do a QPR special, have a feeling we will get Peterborough away
Sadly not, wasn't the best pub in the world, but probably for the best though would have been pissed off if it had prevented me from my trip to the tip on Sunday! Bloody arsonists don't mess with a mans need to get rid of old crap!
So we got the biggest fish in practice, means we'll probably get the only non-league side definitely through, Eastleigh. Matt Le Tissier has connections with them...
If we show up, no reason we can't get a result there with evenly matched teams - hopefully, based on his past experience with winning cup runs, JFH will inspire such a mentality in our players.
What an utterly **** draw. Still, there's a Hooters full of slightly chubby single mums and students assuming it's not gone bust
I was thinking the worst possible draw would be forest away. This must be the third time in five years we've had them in cups is it?
The match is easily winnable. It will be a great test for JFH to his motivational and tactical acumen ....even if we play some of the youngsters.
I think JFH is going to be taking this match very seriously. In fact he looks like he will expect 100% from the players in every match
