Match preview;
Wigan had a good start to their season, beating Cardiff 3-2, but have lost 3 in a row since then, including a 3-0 loss to Preston. We are only a point better off, but have shown glimmers of hope that we will improve. Wednesday night was disappointing against Swansea though, and with another home game, I'm hoping we'll see a good response.

Team news
QPR: Lee Wallace (out), Luke Amos (doubt), Mide Shodipo (out).

Wigan: Anthony Pilkington (out), Josh Windass (out), Joe Gelhardt (out), Tom Pearce (out), Kieffer Moore (doubt).

Pre-Match words
QPR Manager Mark Warburton: “I have been pleased with the performances. In all four games we have delivered a good level of performance but you have to get your rewards. We can’t gift the opposition soft goals. Nobody is gifting us goals so we have to defend with a real passion and attack with purpose.”

Wigan Manager Paul Cook: "I'm a big believer that our performances will lead to results. If our preparation is right and our performances stay similar, I think we'll get the points that everyone wants."

As for the team, I believe that Amos is injured. Cameron will be probably rested, as it was mentioned that he had a small niggle.

Despite the errors, I believe that Warburton will stick with Barbet as his central defensive partership wth Hall (from MW interviews) seems to be the prefered option .

Kane should also keep his place at right back.

Pugh and Chair deserve to play, but it will be a question of tactics of who starts and who come on a subs.

I expect Mark Warburton to start with a high energy team and formation.

Thanks Dave
I expect a win tomorrow but this is the championship son. After Wednesday I am confident we will play football as was very impressed with our style

10 more games we start to know what QPR is now but the signs are very good so far

3-1 to us and expect early goals because if one goes in we will only get stronger

If Cameron and Amos are out who are the 2 holding midfielders going to be? 2 from Skowen, Smith and Ball I guess.

I'm hoping Eze starts in the centre of the 3 attacking midfielders with Pugh one side and BOS or Chair the other. Think Pugh has got a cooler head on him in and around the box than the youngsters. We need to be more clinical with the final ball and finishing.

We could start in a more offensive 4-1-4-1 formation, thus only one holding player.

Perhaps we will see Ball?

The great thing I was left with Wednesday was there really is options with this squad.

Look at Manning none of us would have guessed his new role at the club

Team will only get stronger imo

Not worried how that may take even another defeats from Saturday onwards

We have something going here so can’t understand any fellow fan trying to work out new formations etc. We get beat Sat then the knives will be out no doubt and then we are talking fickle once again.

Let it grow this is the Championship son

We've been letting in so many goals, and with the backs getting forward a lot, I guess we need 2 holding midfielders.

That's when we get caught on the break though.
We need two holding because our full backs push up so far.
I'd play Ball and Scowan as the holding two, with Pugh, Eze and Chair the three behind Wells.

You are correct that it was in this formation that we got caught our at the back!
