What I don't understand is the difference between Norwich away and WBA in a matter of days.
Also I didn't think the ref was that bad, nor were the penalties that stonewall. Ironic he gave 2 in the Reading match.
The intensity has gone. We are not on the front foot. And don't score at home(or anywhere of late) in the 2nd half .
Not sure what team will be on Tuesday, but I guessed it right last 2 games!

Don’t think there was a huge difference. Both Norwich and WBA have resources we could only dream of and are punching below their weight. It’s been a disappointing run but two winnable games now and we’re doing well going into the break even if they don’t go to plan.

Just read t
Haven't posted on this thread either during or after the game as didn't see any of it as I was in a&e all yesterday afternoon with very aged mother.... low oxygen levels in the blood.... won't hear a word about the state of emergency departments as they were nothing but kind and considerate..... it's no fun being old.....

That result yesterday was so very much a R's result, don't know why we should be surprised.... onwards and upwards on Tuesday
Just read this Tramore, and my best wishes to your mum. Hope she's a lot better as I write this.
You're a good son for being with her and taking care of her.
And as you say workers at A&E are top people; working hard in very difficult situations and we should all appreciate their efforts.
Yep, I agree, being old is no fun, but you can't prevent it. As long as you take care of your mental state then your body should cope a lot better with aging.
And that 's why you being with her is the most important thing imho.
Good on you mate!

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes.......

Unfortunately it's a case of when and not if, still when you're only 3 weeks shy of your 101st birthday it's to be expected........

This getting old lark isn't that much fun when you get beyond the mid 90's,she drove her car until she was 90, only going around the local area to and from her lunch venue, and was very independent until a few falls took their toll....... for the last few years she's been in a care home as she needed 24 hour care and the last 12 months there's been no quality of life to speak off....... Covid was difficult as visiting was very restricted, at times only being able to speak through an open window, but with the great care of the staff and resolve they got through that difficulty, but other ailments take over and some are just not treatable......

It's hard going watching the deteriation in the mental and physical well being of a loved one and hopefully this doesn't come across as callous, but to pass on would be a release.

At the end of the day to reach such an age is a rarity and to be celebrated......... I'm hoping that I've inherited the genes from my Mother, but in all honesty I have no real desire to get to 100.......

Thanks once again to everyone for taking time to post their best wishes......

Heart wrenching for you and your family Trammers...stay strong.

As a not so wise man said.. Hope I die before I get old....plenty of chance for that, living in an area with the lowest life expectancy in the country and the abuse I gave my body in my younger years.

Enjoy, as far as you can, the time you have left with your ma

Tramore - never forget the positive influence your mum has had on you since before you were born. The unconditional love and ever-caring nature. I am glad that you have been there to support her and take care of her with the same love and compassion she showed you.

Of all things in one's life, mother's are to be cherished and your dedication and service to her has definitely not gone unnoticed by her. She will be a presence in your life always, cherish the happy moments that you have enjoyed together. Stay strong and don't ever stop thinking of her now and always.
