That was just so amazing..to be there. It just had to be Charlie Charlie Charlie Austin, to score. It was a collect wish of every home supporter in the ground. The cross was perfect, and the back post run was just so perfectly timedfrom Austin. The place went atomic. Now the more measured stuff. West Brom pressed so high, it really restricted us at first..but we got a grip just before half time and second half played really well. Dunne and Barbet were outstanding....but Barbet coming back after being pushed into hoardings the WBrom new US striker Dike was warrior stuff. He had to change his whole kit as it was so heavily bloodied. It should have been a red for dangerous play not even a foul!!!..but at least the ref stopped the match and allowed us to patch him up.. he had been pushed into the hoardings by the dug out... so ref could have played on Albert and Wallace played their part, Willock did look a little lonely but he provided about 4 or 5 really fantastic crosses)...and Gray ( who cannot stay on side to save his life) and Dykes were really poor. Johansen much better than last week, but a bit loose with passes...but boy did he harry the West Brom players.. he will be dead on his feet tonight Marshall looked the part..but I think he let a simple one go through him which should have been a Baggies goal. And his positioning of the wall at one free kick had me having kittens. All in all.. this one will be remembered forever..and I was there. Charlie Charlie Charlie Charlie AUSTIN
I'm beginning to think our defence is genuinely quite good. Dunne magnificent again, Dickie solid as ever and what can you say about Barbet?! Chapeau mon amis.
Was checking latest score while out this afternoon, 0-0 at 88 mins. Looked again a couple of mins later and let out a very loud ''yesss Charlie!", heads turned across the shop, must've thought I was out on day release...
