Made the last subs far too late and it cost us when we’d clearly punched ourselves out after a good first hour or so.
If only we could pass to someone in a blue and white flippin’ shirt. Can’t remember loftus road so dead and resigned to **** football. A poor game of football
Roberts looked knackered to begin with. All easy with hindsight but I think it was pretty obvious we were getting overrun in midfield and needed to get one of Johansen or the ever-effective Dozzell in there to shore things up. Doubt Lowe would have finished the game had Dykes stayed on but we had very little to bring on.
In the current circumstances, taking into consideration, form, attitude and quality, a point at home against Swansea is a ****ing brilliant result
Swansea are hardly top notch are they ? Take out the top 2 and Brom and Boro now they've got proper managers, and anyone else in the league is there for the taking ! We should've been at least 2 up and to concede so late again its 2 points dropped at home.
Considering how poor our form has been of late (and before that too) it is astounding that we are still only four points off 5th place!
We've only lost 1 of Critchley's 6 league games so far and but for the woodwork today and the last kick against Sheffield Utd we'd have won half of them. Fine margins. Be nice to get a win though. The addition of Lowe definitely gives reason for optimism.
Chair spent the first few months of the season suddenly putting early crosses in. Why has he stopped? Was the training better?
Because he got bored of no one other than Dykes being in the box, who as we and Chair knew, wasn't go to score from said cross. At a guess
Good to see you and Nuts and the rest of the gang, I hope you're having a good birthday mate, despite the late equaliser. It wasn't too bad for sixty minutes and then I got to wishing that we had stayed in the pub. The two misses were crucial. I think the majority of the stadium knew what was coming after that.
That's now only one win in our last 13 matches. We haven't won at home for 91 days. 22nd of October 2022 v Wigan (2-1). Another blank in terms of a goal at the Loft end. The last time we scored in that goal was on the 19th of October 2022 v Cardiff. All three goals at the Loft end have been scored by Dykes, and two of them were penalties and only one from open play.
Heard Dykes went off because he was sick at HT. As you suggest, probably from trying to throttle Chair.
It was lovely meeting the Irish gang in the pub and 999s and hope you had a great birthday Stan. That was a great start to the match...however... The match...started well. Lowes goal was well set up and very well taken. But his miss cost us ...he had too much time to think! But Dykes going off changed the dynamic for us completely, we had no outlet, no one to get it out to, to hold up play. Funny enough it was discussed on MotD about Leicester too. They were not leaving players up front to take the pressure of their defenders and so conceded to Brighton Dykes goes off and Chair and Willock are hovering around waiting for a ball to set of on a run, which is blocked and any hoofed out ball goes nowhere. So don't tell me we should get rid of Dykes. We can't win matches with a forward line of three no10s, even if they are a combination of Chair, Willock, Lowe and Roberts
Urgh, that is depressing. No wonder the atmosphere is flat at times. Thank goodness for the offside for their second.
