Well he’s here for a long time unless someone is dumb enough to take him so he’s going to be playing. I don’t rate him either but last night was better as the obligatory booking came late.
I thought he was one of our better players last night to be honest, apart from his usual stupid booking I thought he did an excellent job.
It was lovely to see you to Fingy ...for the second game running. If we meet each other, and we don't lose ...okay that don't work...we met at Milton Keynes that time, we lost (?) 2 nil.. And I got flu that lasted weeks.. no that wasn't your fault but sitting in the rain for 2 hours might not have helped
Thanks. Hitting it straight at the keeper there is just ridiculous. But all forgiven after that sublime chest and volley goal. They definitely should have had a penalty for the second half shirt tug which was way more blatant than the one on Cook for our penalty. Still, who cares. we've had enough poor decisions and bad luck go against us. Come on Dykes, notch again on Friday night and go on a run!!
Clive's match report ... A Ben Pearson own goal – Report - Queens Park Rangers News | Loft For Words (fansnetwork.co.uk)
Great report, although I disagree with some of Clive's assertions. Yes, Smyth made a meal of that pull on his shirt, but it WAS a pull of his shirt and an undeniable second yellow card. I don't agree that we'd have been fuming with the ref. I'd have been fuming with the idiot picking up his second yellow after giving away a penalty doing the same thing! I can't believe he blames Begovic for not saving the Burger goal. He curled it from 2 feet outside the post and it went in off the upright. I'm not sure any keeper would have got near it. Ridiculous to say Begovic "should have thrown his cap on it". Also, although Marti did empty our midfield to a certain extent, in order to gain maximum width and press their back line once they were down to 10 men and we'd equalised and were chasing the win, Clive completely missed the fact that Marti pushed Paal into midfield, to plug the gap. Some lovely, funny lines in there as usual though, plus the very nice reference to El Tel.
