The next couple of league games if it's felt he needs games. Personally I wouldn't start him ahead of BOS ever, unless BOS is injured or in desperate need of a rest.

My point is we are safe in mid-table. Give the fans some excitement and try to go on a cup run.
Totally agree mate. I would never pick Clarke over Eze, chair or BOS. Clarke has literally had 4 good games in his entire career. Leeds could be done for fraud, selling him for 10m.!! Hes a lovely lad and a decent player. No way better than anyone we already have. Saying that, I would start him over Pugh any day of the week. What Pugh brings to the team baffles me. He chases a lot, usually to no avail and then looks absolutely clueless in possession!

It’s the Samuel & BOS partnership that excites me most.

Football is a funny old game. Leeds fans are well happy to get 10m for clarke but then may end up paying 15m for costa who is again ****e!!! All these figures surely on current form puts BOS in the 30m bracket. Stupid money but relative in today's market!

Fair enough.
I personally don't think we're anywhere near good enough to get into the play offs, especially with a coach who can't resist tinkering.
I understand the tinkering to an extent, especially over a busy winter schedule but and it's a big BUT, if BOS was ok to go on the bench and come on, then why not start him and try get in front, then take him off if necessary. I'm a firm believer in starting your strongest team in every game or at least the most inform players. I was shocked that Chair came off instead of Pugh! I said to my lad that it was game over there and then. Kanes drive to hugill was obviously a fluke cos the **** cant usually pass to someone from 5 yards! Manning doesnt look like the player who started the season, most likely due to interest from other clubs.

Our season tickets are in SAR block B, but had been sold by the time I bought our cup tickets so we wound up in block A. Not far away, but a very different crowd, most of whom would probably be in the corners of Ellerslie normally. Yes, they sang quite a bit, but it was mostly moronic stuff about dirty Northerners. To be fair, many of them were kids, but to see 15 year-olds singing 'we pay your benefits' to the Wednesday fans was quite pathetic. Giving support to your team is fine and good, but there wasn't much of that at all, it was predominately abuse towards the opposition fans. Add to this the people, not kids, who steadfastly refused to sit down - thereby blocking the view of those behind - and it was a thoroughly dispiriting experience.

What got to me, reading back through the thread, was the level of negativity, starting even before the match had kicked off. I don't understand the signing of Clarke, but, as we have him, last night seemed the right time to play him. As it turned out, he was poor though, and rightly subbed for BOS (I'd have done it at half-time, in fact), but overall it was a pretty strong starting line-up. I agree that where Eze was asked to play was baffling, but that wasn't apparent before the game.

I'm sure much of the criticism on here was justified, but after a pretty horrible experience at LR, the unrelenting negativity just pissed me off further, I'm afraid.
The singing was better in The Loft. More just supportive chants. Sorry about your experience.

8 points off the play-offs. We should be looking up rather than looking down. Stuff the Cup!
Big week coming up for us.
With our goal difference that’s effectively 9, which is a huge ask. It would be extraordinary if we were able to win 3 games more than our many peers given our inconsistency but I’m up for the chase.

Why do we have to play him? Let's be honest, he surely cant get in a 3 behind a striker over Eze, Chair and Samuel. A sub at best!

Totally agree....I still don't understand the signing of Clarke and what it's supposed to achieve.....but if it was deemed necessary to rotate then the cup is probably the place to do it.....I'm just a bit hacked off that we've basically kissed goodbye to potential £500k in prize money and a chance to get a decent way in the competition.....
Still I fancy us for a dart at the play offs if we can keep BOS, Eze and Wells beyond next weekend....

Although it is very disappointing to go out...…….maybe just maybe they will learn from this and try a bit harder next year

regardless of the fact we may have got beaten, surely the players would have used this as a chance to prove themselves against world class players? If I was a young player that would have been my mind set plus I would love to have Sergio Aguero's shirt.

That c*nt has helped himself to loads of goals against us, as a supporter I don't like seeing us look so second-rate on national TV. When we eventually learn how to defend properly I'd welcome the challenge...

Shrewsbury didn't do too bad even with Sean Goss in their midfield

It would of been great for our players, and the Club with a full house, and probably TV money too.
