It is an uninspiring draw, but a very winnable match.

Hope we can win the match and get a “glamorous” draw, whatever that means, in the 5th Round.

Should be good for morale and confidence, plus we would have a mini “Cup run”.

I am not complaining.

Can't see it being chosen for TV so 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon on steely+..........

What's not to like?

Have to fancy our chances don't we?

Trees v Foxes tastiest draw there, from the fans perspective.

Kidderminster should switch their tie to the London Stadium. Can you still do that?
Hope not, as minimal as the chance of them winning is, there's no way the Hammers players are looking forward to going there ! I appreciate all the financial benefits of it, but it just seems to take the soul out of the competition. I still remember everyone in the ground running on when Ronnie Radford scored that famous goal, everyone of them had a Parka on lol. You couldn't do that at the London Stadium, take you 10 mins from the stand to the pitch ffs !

I hadn't realised that The Ellerslie was closed, or that Austin went and sat in it after being subbed.
A slightly confusing report for someone like me who didn't see the game.
Was it completely awful or did Rotherham play quite well, all be it in a direct way?
Clive gets a bit carried away at times and loses the message sometimes.

From the reports of the way Gray played, the only reason for leaving him on must have been that he won't be starting against West Brom.

Personally Col, I didn't think Rotherham played particularly well. I thought we were on top but still made countless, I mean countless, mistakes.
No penetration, no real attempt at penetration either. Ball who a player I quite like, was just so so negative. Johansen, who you felt had been told to play a little forward was really out of salts, he could not pass, and was booked around 10-15 minutes which held him back even more. The only person who seemed to be moving forward was Thomas, his lack of touch was more of someone who had not played much.
Wallace was not as good as he had been....and was subbed when he blew up after a couple of runs, that left him hands on hips blowing away (immediately subbed). Albert was the opposite, started defensively and made mistakes, but eventually (after Thomas had left) made good and meaningful runs

The defence made a few mistakes, but were not really that awful. They were quite tentative...Archer perhaps. Whose first action was nearly to be caught in possesssion, not a good start

Austin looked a bit laboured but was running around demanding the ball, Gray was more static, until the ball was presented to him, and then he made a few decent runs. That was really the trouble...Austin was keen and up for it and not getting much ball, Gray was not up for it in the same way, but felt if he got the right ball he would have scored...but when he did get the right ball he missed.

Amos and Dozzell came on, and I didn't really notice them much, still no penetration, probably even less after Thomas had left. There were a lot more speculative long balls to Gray and Dykes

I am not sure if Austin was sulking. When Dykes was due to come on, Austin immediately went of on the Ellerslie side (to speed up the exchange???) which was closed and went and sat half way up, took of his boots. He was up there say 15 minutes, and then slowly made his round ...I am told he walked passed the bench and straight down the tunnel I did not see that myself.

Moses was obviously put on for only 30 minutes and so is not match ready (there was no injury there I do not think). Drewe was competent, and could be a useful addition

Once Rotherham scored, we were much more attack minded, due mainly to Adomeh.

They had been practicing penalties though... All were good except Dozzells, who put exactly into the same place that Archer had just saved from Rotherham. An obvious ploy, and so guessable from a goalies point of view

So the things I took from it
Johansen had a serious off day...serious off day
I can see why Dom Ball doesn't start.
Archer did not look solid, but he can save penalties..it t is really awful about his shoulder.
Wallace could not last 90 minutes, Moses is not ready.
We cannot play two strikers up front (Gray/Austin)...

That is what I saw Col...

Charlie was in the dugout, eventually.
Good report Beth although slightly unfair on Rotherham who the longer the game went on the better they looked. It seemed only a matter of time until they scored and the question then was what our response would be.
I thought THOMAS had a decent first half although maybe guilty of trying a little too hard.
The biggest surprise was Gray scoring his penalty as up till then he had looked absolutely bloody useless.

Has anyone heard/read anything more about the Charlie incident?

When they showed him on the TV trudge up into the stands and sit there for nigh on 15 minutes he looked well and truly hacked off.

Hope this doesn't ruffle his feathers and affect his performances going forward.

Only a day or so ago i saw a fabulous little vid of him and Warbs celebrating a victory together, seems a bit of a strange reaction.

Your third sentence pretty much summed it up Col.
