I was thinking of something similar but also moving Freeman into midfield for Cousins so that we had someone who could get the ball up to them. Instead we received a large helping of long ball up to Smith ****wittery. Playing Smith was fair enough but get the ball down the channels and get some crosses in, we tried it once and lo and behold we scored. Don't bang it up to him directly from within our own half.
It was ****e After we tried playing like Man City out from the keeper and got found out it just got worse
Just seen the highlights on the Official. From all I had heard I was surprised to see Smith scored a good goal and the highlights did manage to show some great work from Eze, Pawel and Wells who had a good shot very well saved. But it was very poor work from both Lumley and Scowen for their first, pathetic defending at corners, and I suppose the highlights showed about our only good attacking moves in the whole game.
That’s because there is none. If Cousins plays we lose. If he doesn’t we sneak a draw and win the replay.
Very reminicent of the Holloway days. Same could be said for the first half at sheff utd. Saying that, I'm still more than surprised at where we are at the moment. There have been some negatives with this result and the West Brom but a heap of positives also.
I was working yesterday with a group of colleagues from all over. One young lad had flown in from the States, and being a football fan had decided to come early and see a game. He knew he had little chance of of seeing a PL game, so ended up with a ticket for QPR v PNE. Fortunately the weather ruined his plans and after multiple delays he got to London after the match. Which was a relief for me, as I wouldn’t know where to start with the excuses for that performance.
