I'm not sure Dozzell can be singled out here. Several times Chair collected the ball in our half just to play it back to the full back, on one occassion I think him and Paal tapped it to each other three or hour times. Our "play makers" collected the ball far too deep and always facing our goal. Chair/Willock need to be far higher once we've got the ball.
Clive's take on the game ... The QPR is strong in this one – Report - Queens Park Rangers News | Loft For Words (fansnetwork.co.uk)
Felt a bit harsh on Kelman, looked to me like he was making decent runs but our midfielders were too risk-averse to play the forward pass. Definitely agree a reality check is no bad thing for this team though and a reality-check that didn't involve us losing is a bonus.
Don't think I missed too much though and I received excellent live (not BBC 5 min delay) text coverage of all the memorable moments as l played a Canasta card game, that I won handily, much to the chagrin of my partner. Perhaps I should let her win more often as she is quite competitive (1971 Canada Games Solo Synchronized Swimming at age 15), as on losing she exclaimed, "well you're not getting any tonight". Fingers crossed that perhaps with an R's win and after a nice 70th birthday supper out, she will be more obliging!
