    Match Preview;

    MARK Warburton’s QPR squad will begin their 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign on Saturday when they welcome Nottingham Forest to Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium (3pm kick-off).

    The first league fixture will kick off what promises to be an exciting campaign, as the R’s go in search of an improvement on last season’s 13th placed finish.

    Summer arrivals Lyndon Dykes, Rob Dickie, George Thomas, Luke Amos and Tom Carroll will all want to impress during their first taste of league action under Warburton, whilst the rest of the squad will be looking to build on the hard work they have put in during this unusually short close season.

    Team news
    R’s manager Warburton has declared his squad fully fit ahead of the opening league fixture. Striker Lyndon Dykes suffered a back knock during the week, whilst on international duty with Scotland, but looks set to feature.

    Tiago Silva is out for Forest, whilst Joe Lolley and Joe Worrall remain doubts for this weekend’s clash.

    Pre-match words
    QPR manager Mark Warburton: “Forest are a very talented side. They proved that last season and the additions of the likes of Lyle Taylor and Luke Freeman only adds to a very strong squad. We have prepared well and have done everything to ensure we are ready for the challenge.”

    Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi: “QPR are a good footballing team, they produced many good performances and results last season and they will be the same. We know what kind of football they will play and we will be ready for that.”

    The Florists do seem to have a consistent history of taking players from us up to Nottingham.
    I have to say I don’t have a good feeling about this game.

    Stuff it, it’s a new season and nothing is going to stop me feeling we can win this.

    We may need a bit of magic to happen and l don’t care where we pull it from but that’s football and being that it’s the first game of the season, we should be actively chasing a result.

    Yep, good shout...another player who has left us, where he was doing well and contributing lots, to go on to not much.

    Happens all the time. Over the years I have seen many players leave us and ended up in a worse position. Maybe BOS should think before wanting to be a sub a Palace.

    Assuming of course Palace even want him and it isn't just BOS missing his mate Eze already

    Am I right in saying there is no way for fans in the UK to watch the R's at all at the moment?

    Actually it looks like you can't get a QPR+ season ticket due to EFL restrictions but you can still pay a tenner a game whilst the restrictions on physical attendance are in place. I can't see people being able to attend matches in decent numbers for a long while yet.

    As I pay for my season ticket monthly, it was automatically renewed and they're going to take the first DD payment on 1st October. They've now given me a code which will allow me to watch all Home and midweek Away games via the QPR website.
