Dad used to make Sloe Gin from berries we picked as a family (from the Blackthorn?) Very easy, prick all the berries, add gin and castor sugar, shake in large kilner jar everyday for 3 months, then decant for Christmas, was excellent.
Now I get Didley's "Gin" comment, 55 years and counting for him!
Freeze the sloes then they don't need pricking

I'm not really that surprised by the performances of late as I believe we've only played well on a handful of occasions this season anyway. Even when we have won, it's been, mainly from a counter attacking perspective, never truly controlling a game, baring one or two. Changing 5 players against WBA, then making another 5 during the game, making 8 changes today and 4 during the game, is a tad extreme, even considering the amount of games we have. Adding into the mix, playing players literally anywhere, doesn't inspire confidence within the group. It's a tombola as to who starts on which wing and when.
On the other hand, we are in a much better position than previous seasons at the moment. I hope Julien can find his strongest team and try get some consistency rather than using this season as an experiment.

Nothing further to add that hasn't already been said. I couldn't understand taking Kone off and his replacement crossing the ball into the box to no-one where Kone would've been?
Onto the next match ...

Maybe they'd want to give it just one more game...

Well I've decided to sack off coming back for the Wednesday game!

Means we will probably win

Almost home and still in shock at just how bad that game was

So glad I decided not to get up and watch it at 2am. Any time we play a bottom 3 team or we look like we could make a push for top 6, we are rubbish.

What I didn't understand, amongst many things....after 15 minutes 15,000 could see the pattern of play was not working.
It shouldn't take Einstein to work out that you then tweak things. Simple things like wingers swapping sides for 10-20 minutes (what harm could that have done)? This is what annoys me about the manager and makes me cynical when we do win as it feels like he's fluked something as the LCFC game now feels. All the good things in that match, and there were plenty, have disappeared with 3 matches.
Also we concede 45-50 minutes regularly. I wonder why. Well here goes Sherlock......watch EVERY SINGLE TEAM during half time. They do a full blown training session whilst our players are nowhere to be seen. Resulting in opposition being warmed up, sharp ready to go.
Watch on Sunday it's 8loody embarrassing how unprofessional we are at times.

I'm still fewming over the Norwich game ... another bottom club who were better than us all over the pitch. It was boring and I was freezing cold. I wished I could go to sleep. Stop making wholesale changes, play your best 11 every single game! The Neil Warnock 2010/11 side was pretty much the same every single game. The game hasn't changed in that much in 14 years. You keep on going about recovery but players would rather play than train. Keep it simple, try to win every single game, don't put square pegs in round holes, play your best eleven! You threw away the WBA game to get get a result from the the two home games and it backfired!
