They've won 6, drawn 7 and lost 5 so far this year, and sit 5 points outside the playoff zone. Their top scorer is Borja Sainz with 16 goals this year...but their next highest scorer is Ante Crnac with 4 goals, so it is clear to see where their main threat comes from. They also offer some threat from the wing, with Borja Sainz, who has scored 21 in 51 since joining from Turkish side, Giresunspor, on a free in the summer of 2023...how do our scouts always miss these players? As for us, now unbeaten in 3, having drawn 2 and won 1...5 points which have seen us move off the foot of the table, up to 23rd and within 2 points of safety. Celar's two goals away at Cardiff were exactly the boost we needed, although chances were limited against Watford, where we only managed 1 shot on target. With Paal, Clarke-Salter, Fox, Chair, Dembélé and Frey hopefully close to returning, we will see the squad bolstered and should offer a bit more in front of goal. Marti's pre match team news; Sam Field serves a one-match suspension after collecting his fifth booking of the season in the league at Watford. Cifuentes confirmed Jack Colback, Ilias Chair and Michael Frey are all nearing returns, while Jake Clarke-Salter is also getting closer. Kaddie Dembele remains out until February. Enjoy if you are making it to HQ, and as always... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
We've hit the woodwork more times than anyone else this season and folks say our luck hasn't been rotten.
Cheers Dave. Birthday lunch for my wife so I’m missing this one. Should be good for a comfortable win then.
Never guess the injury tombola. Everyone could be fit or Saito could be ruled out for six months with scurvy.
Colback and Frey closest but unlikely tomorrow by the sounds of it. Chair very close as well, according to Illy he was ready two weeks ago . Be great to get these lads back for some of the December fixtures at least.
