That was a load of ****e! No pressing no passing. Pure waste of time!

Seemed to be shackled by the way we set up tonight, out numbered in the middle, just to accomodate a 2nd striker without being able to supply either of them....... The fluidity from Wednesday was missing by getting Eze & Luongo to play in different positions and being far too rigid........

The changes by McClaren should really have been made at half time or sooner......

Right vino finished have to find something else to quaff now....

It wasn't working in the first half, even one sub and a change to 4-2-3-1 may have upset their game-plan and filled the holes that were all over our midfield. Schteeve is supposed to be a top coach but he was like a rabbit in the headlights tonight. Poor from the manager to the bench and a great chance to pick up three points against a not very threatening but competent Norwich suggests we're about where we should be in the table...

Foul on luongo def a penalty. Bright Samuel rubbish, poor passing tonight, should brought smith on half time, strikers not scoring, shame couldn't knock one in. Not played on the Deck tonight enough, Norwich too good to try play beating them in the air. Swans and reading might be a bit tricky too. Fingers crossed again.

Amazing how different the TV pundit view of things is to those at the game. Yes we were outmanouvered in the first half but survived without too many scares and were much better when McClaren got us playing a high press after the break. There was only likely to be a single goal in the game which could have gone either way but Norwich fluked it. This was a good Norwich side and we ran them very close. The home fans recognised this and the team were well received at the end despite the loss.

Eze off his game tonight & a few others, would have brought the wide men on for 2nd half as was creating nothing, Norwich wasn’t great but got the goal & boring to watch, wasted day out at HQ

That was a totally dispiriting experience. I can't think of one period of play or one player performance that was worthy of praise. Why change it from Wednesday? Awful.

Tiredness? Sickness? Injury? Head not right? Stuff we'll never know about. Great shame, would have loved to beat them.

Just seen the replay on EFL show. Ref ought to be ashamed of himself. Slam dunk penalty. Video replay and right to challenge x 1 or 2 per game please. Would help the smaller clubs.

Really? Did you think that was an acceptable performance?

Dam ................... did we play the same team and setup as midweek?
I really thought we'd get a win, especially at home.
Dam..............Mrs Squat won't be pleased.

Could see Nakhi Wells head dropping if he doesn't bag a goal soon which will be very reminiscent of the Washington saga. For all the plaudits our new strikers are getting they've still only one goal between them.

Very frustating match. Norwich was 80 min much better overall, but that dont make that stonewall penalty void. Luango was pushed over by norwich defender with both hands. Unbelievable...:emoticon-0130-devil

Back from the pub
mmm....
mmm....
Firstly why do I always get stuck with a boring QPR fan who knows nothing about football or the club? I wanted to drown myself in my drink.
anyway the match...
I text mouse at HT who was at the game and said that if they score first then that's it.
Poor first half and second come to think of it. We had about 10 minutes at the end.
however...
They were first to every ball, chased us down, attacked in numbers and defended in numbers. good crisp passing
whereas
We were last to the ball (until the beginning of the second) didn't attack well and when we did wells and Hemed were miles apart. WTF was Eze doing in that first half? It was if he was defending at times? Samuel was disappointing when he came on.
The thing which was unacceptable, was our passing. It was shocking for pro footballers. So many times I lost count, we either gave it away or the pass was incomplete. shocking
Norwich were quite a tidy side and deserved to win, so I can't complain. I think, even I was getting carried away with recent results and came back to earth with a bump....bump

I watched the first half on TV and listened to the commentary of the seconds half.

It seems that we played the wrong tactics and had two front men starved of the ball.

In the first half, I only remember one decent cross to Hemed. The rest were ineffective long range punts by-passing the mid-field. Thus the “no width” story.

It seems that we want to play “our best” players, rather than the “best formation” with the “in-form”. A few players looked clearly tired or out of form.

I am sure that a continuation of the 4-2-3-1 formation, which was very successful in the first half against Millwall, would have been a better option.

I think we lost this match on the tactics.

I am sure that we will see a different team correcting these issues against Blackpool..

Agreed ‘Ski - I thought we looked a tired team too.
Eze especially, but also a few others. We worked and chased the ball hard on Wednesday - and seem to have paid for it against Norwich.
Luck was also against us - the deflection and missed penalty. As we know some go for, some against. We didn’t deserve the win but a point would have been nice.
Back to earth as Ellers has said, on to the cup run, then on to build again for another positive run.
C’mon R’s ... let’s get going again!!!

Simple
Eze needs to play up front
Hemed and Eze cannot play in the same team
Scowen isn't playing as well or needs 2 players closer to him
We can,t close teams down as a pack in midfield if one of them is Eze as he can,t do it (yet)
Norwich had 5/6 decent players but lacked a decent striker. Probably the best team we've played at home this season

Main problem is this was obvious to absolutely everyone and McClaren was either too useless or too weak to
1 take Hemed off and push Eze forwards
2 take Eze a off
3 put Cameron on for Scowen
4 give them all a kick at half time
5 stop them miserably trying to play it out from the back again
6 why do nothing until we've gone a goal down ?

Well done lynch by the way
Decent game from the defence again though Baptiste is a bit limited to play righback especially with Eze ahead of him

at the very least a braver better manager would have replaced Eze at halftime
He's a talented lad in the wrong position having an off day
It caused issues for the rest of the team
Very few would have sung "you don't know what you're doing...."
