Cifuentes played Madsen out of position up until the last couple of games. Any self-respecting coach should have been able to see that he's not a holding midfielder. My 'thing' with Cifuentes was always about the mind-numbingly dull football that he encourages and the bewildering worship that he got from other supporters for this. Whilst he was getting relatively satisfactory results, it was just a mild personal beef. Now he's taking us down and people need to wake up to that fact. Everyone is worthy of blame and criticism except the manager it seems.

If you feel like answering, please try to do so without mentioning Madsen.

He got praise because we were one of the best teams in the league from January onwards with a geriatric who could barely dive in goal and Dykes/Armstrong up front.

You keep saying nobody else is criticising him when they’re just criticising him less than you are.

Stubborn, inflexible, reactive, to use a few words.
Madsen along with many have been piss poor, to the point of being embarrassingly pathetic. I blame the people who sign these players, probably without ever seeing them play. Madsen isn't at championship level, that's clear to see.

I ask about the manager and the bulk of your answer is about Madsen.

Sorry but they are relative. I could quite easily say Cifuantes is a **** manager because he selects players like Madsen who obviously is nowhere near the standard required. I could say he was a great manager last season on how he finished the season. The problems at QPR seem to be people pulling in different directions.

One of the best teams in the league? I don't see as many games as you do, but I've only twice been excited about how we've played under Cifuentes, out of God know how many games. We didn't go down last year, which is to his credit, but we're fast heading for relegation this year. Worse off than we were when he took over.

****ing hell, Bob. Are you completely unable to post anything without mentioning Madsen? There are much bigger problems at the club.

So from when Marti joined last year, based on his points tally compared to every other team in that period, we would have finished 2nd or 3rd, along with some great performances, for example the 4-0 drubbing of Leeds.
This season has seen someone at the club decide who our limited budget is spent on. They have spent it on complete ****e and probably used our ffp losses limits for the next 3 years on Celar and that bloke you don't like people to mention.

Yeah, Leeds was good, and so was the 2-2 with West Brom. The rest, last season and this, have been awful to watch.

This season has been dreadful, the back end of last season was decent I thought and more than any of us could have hoped for. Ive heard people saying "this is Martis team". I'm not sure it is, I think it's Nouriis team or whatever his name is

I find it hard to believe that Cifuentes has had no say in which individuals were recruited. If that is the case though, it's bonkers and is a mitigation for Cifuentes. Nevertheless, it doesn't absolve him of responsibility for how he sets up his team, how they play, and the obvious lack of confidence that runs throughout the squad.

It certainly doesn't and if you've followed my posts you will have seen me moaning about his set up, his lack of flexibility and his selections for the majority of this season. I personally don't see how we get out of this mess. Injuries are obviously a factor but also an excuse. Even when these injured players were fit and starting we have been ****.

The away game at Leicester was ****ing brilliant. It was a dead game, but so was the away game at Cov. Given the circumstances last season results easily trumped performances. And everything was better to watch than the Ainsworth version.

This season has been disastrous and any goodwill in the reservoir has long gone.

I know this season's performances, results have been dire, but they still haven't plumbed the depths of the performances at Baggies and Massive last season........ there's still time though...

Five games that I watched live and enjoyed in the back end of last season, Leicester, Coventry and Swansea away, Leeds, and Birmingham at home. All five were really good wins with us playing enjoyable football.

This season is totally different. I thought we did really well against Sunderland and were unlucky not to snatch the win. Most of the other games we were complete dross. The new signings are simply not good enough. If we don't replace a good few players in January with much better ones, it's looking bleak.

If only we had the money for replacements

I'd be sorely tempted, I think the job he did there was superb. But as we gave El Cif a new contract I fear we've tied our own hands for this season. Robins won't be out of work for long, unless it's his own choice !
Im struggling to see how any manager could make it work at this club. We have been through so many and all fail or fall short so the hierarchy picking another doesn't install me with confidence. Add that decision making with someone unqualified making transfer decisions, ffp restraints which we've probably maxed out for another 3 years and a low standard squad, then the task becomes difficult. Dropping to league 1 is a ridiculous thought and won't help us in any way.
