4 points from 3 games and lost to the 'winnable' mid table team, didn't even threaten to be honest

It was never going to be plain sailing all the way to safety was it? We were good in the first half today, but no question Wednesday night has caught with up with us. A week recovery and time on the training pitch and we'll be up and ready for Sunderland next week. We bounced back from the Stoke debacle to win 3 on the bounce no reason we can't do that again. Definitely would have brought Armstrong on earlier today though, Dykes had no effect on the game whatsoever.

What an awful performance and result. From the high of Wednesday night to the depression of today, how very us. Stoke ****ing won at Preston too and Millwall scored winner in 90th minute. We're right back in the **** ffs !

Having seen Frey, Dykes and Armstrong all play that role, the most dangerous, in my opinion is Armstrong by some way. Frey takes 10 yards before he can reach maximum speed. Dykes just doesn't have the natural instinct to play as the furthest man. Armstrong has the pace and power to cause problems but obviously his decision making sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. He has to start. He gets the crowd lifted, the atmosphere changes and it resonates through the team. Can't believe it took so long to get him on the pitch.

Well that was diabolical & not a patch on WBA game, didn’t appear in the 2nd half after looking quite good in first half, had nothing & Howson controlled the game from start to finish for them, they weren’t much but we was awful, probably a bit to hasty making those 3 subs soon after halftime

After going to 5 live games in 10 days I decided to give today a miss, couldn’t face the 4 hours travel more than anything else.

    Yay. Sort of.

Oh well, still loads of winnable games left, starting with the next one.

Didn't get going in the second half. Too slow, too careful and too not good enough. Not very good results in other games either.
Back in the bottom three if Hudds win on the morrow!

Edit: Actually, Brum with one less in GD!

Incredible to think after our fantastic run of results we are straight back in the mix

Our relegation rivals are equalling us or pulling out all the stops

This is where the lack of points on the board under Ainsworth is telling

Every game a Cup Final now

Watched the first half today then had to be elsewhere. Really disappointed to see we conceded 2 and lost.

Didn't see his performance, so maybe unfair to comment, but based on the last few times I've seen Dykes play, he's not offering much of a threat, and I'd definitely look to Armstrong before him... particularly as an impact sub.

I'm guessing tiredness a factor after the massive effort of Wednesday. The whole atmosphere was a step or two down from Wednesday night.

Disappointing to have gone backwards but Marti has a whole week to sort this out and find more points.

Tbf we were never out of the mix. This run of games against teams in the fight with us is giving me proper squeaky bum.

Can't decide if Sunderland losing their last 5 on the bounce is a good omen or bad, we know how we like to help teams with their poor form.

Had to miss the 2nd half as had to go out.....

We actually looked decent first half and they looked happy to take a point....

Hugely disapointing to see final score, but we still live to flight another day starting next week at Sunderland..

Who said it was going to be easy?

So frustrating, passing it around their box instead of someone having a shot. A week of rest then a winnable game against Sunderland - Birmingham game could be the big one, I hope we’re up for that.

Well, that was a turnaround from the previous game.

We lose and Stoke win.................. crapola.
    Keep plugging away, lads.

Back to Dr Jekyll today. Wrong starting line up, zero goal threat, insipid performance. My hero Andersen gave the ball away twice in the lead up to their second goal. ****ing Cifuentes!
