QUEENS Park Rangers will have to be at their attacking best if they are to get back to winning ways at Loftus Road on Saturday. The R’s face a Middlesbrough side that have conceded just 14 league goals this campaign – four less than any other Championship side. In all fairness, scoring goals has not been a problem for McClaren’s side in recent weeks but keeping them out has, with the R’s conceding twice in each of their last five fixtures. Despite this being a fixture with 18 goals in the last five games it would not be a surprise to see a tighter match in W12. Neither side is in great form and both will be looking to grind out a tight victory. Middlesbrough remain in touch with the teams at the top of the Championship despite a difficult last few games. Tony Pulis’s side comes into this fixture off the back of two draws and a thumping home defeat to Aston Villa. For a team that possesses the attacking quality of Britt Assombalonga, Jordan Hugill and Rudy Gestede it’s a surprise to see Boro struggling to find the net this campaign. They’ve scored just 23 times this season – the least of anyone in the top half of this division. However, Rangers will be more than aware that Boro came to Loftus Road last season off the back of a home defeat and comprehensively outplayed the R’s to claim a 3-0 victory. Come on you Super Hoopsa!!!!
Cheers Dave. I will be driving my daughter back from Uni for Christmas during this game, anyone have any idea if/how I can get it on the car wireless? Driving from Newcastle, long way from London.....
I have the QPR App on my phone, and if you sign up for QPR+ you may be able to listen, just requires your phone to be on mobile data. Not 100% it will work but maybe worth looking at.
That’s nothing to do with maturity small flightless bird, and everything to do with class, taste and distinction. Today I have a difficult choice as I venture north to drink with mates in Durham before picking up the daughter. It’s rather chilly up there, my ears will need protection. Do I take the Chicago Blackhawks beanie or the rather more enigmatic Bad Seed (after Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) one? Decisions, decisions....
Big ask here. Home advantage we need to get the old girl rocking. We do play better against the better teams (but perhaps less so against big ugly Northern teams eg Hull) so here's hoping.
Which is more precious. I lost my precious ferocious dog beanie on a night out. Wish I'd taken the old radio act active one instead.. Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
The Bad Seed one was a gift from my daughter.....too late now I’ve brought it with me, together with my Dynamo Dresden scarf.
I’m flying in and landing Saturday morning at 7am... hoping to make it to the game. Is the C&S still the meet up place, and if so is anyone going?
How about this one from our 1982/83 Division 2 winning side, and i just love those shirts.... On the down side 9 years ago this weekend I was in hospital recovering from having a hip replacement, we played Boro at home and they put 5 past us......can't see a repeat of either of these 2 scores....... Up the R's
Bad news on the injury from, Rangel, Cameron & Hemed all out, Rangle for 8 weeks or so.... https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/rangel-and-cameron-face-injury-lay-off/ So Furlong in for Rangel, Hemed weakens the bench a tad, but who goes in for Cameron? Do we risk Hall for an hour, or Scowan who's a walking booking at the moment or Cousins? Choices, choices....... Edit: Having read the full piece Hall also out, a walking sick note......
Really bad news. Time for Furlong, Scowen/Cousins to step up. Wells was always playing ahead of Hemed imho. I wonder if anyone will be sent back to their clubs, as Wheeler is supposed to being sent back to us
I'd guess that Manning will return in January as his loan was only until end of December and Luongo is missing for whole of January due to the Asian Cup...... Both Wells and Hemed are loan deals for the whole season as far as I'm aware......
vs Middlesborough in 1979 was my first match attended at Loftus Road. Hope we get a better result this time.
