Really? I thought that was one of our easier wins. Huddersfield didn't press well and didn't commit men to their counter.
Yeah, I agree with that. The first 20 mins or so they looked well organised, had plenty of bodies behind the ball and looked like they would cause problems on the break. But it didn’t turn out like that. They haven’t really got the mobility to get the ball forward onto runners and that cost them. Sitting deep and defending well is fine, but all those bodies behind the ball couldn’t then get upfield fast enough to attack. It helped that they tried to get at us through the middle more than down the wings. We might’ve had more problems had they had some width as well as more pace. Yeah, turned out to be less of a worry than the opening exchanges suggested.
Since their extra points deduction, they've beaten Bournemouth and drawn with Fulham - I'd be happy with a point, as long as we score!
Highlights here....we really should've had more than the one goal https://www.skysports.com/efl/championship/video/12477847/qpr-1-0-huddersfield
They just say back and it was wave and wave of attack from us from the 20th minute onwards. We dominated the ball, had a lot more shots, and more decent chances. No game in the championship is outright 'easy' but I'd say that was easier than most teams I've seen us up against.
Looking at those highlights, think we might have got away with one in the last minute with that whack in the back by Barbet, falls into the seen them given fouls...... Still who cares, we won, 3 more points and looking a decent side.......
You must've been far more relaxed than me during the game then. Maybe your a glass half full and I'm a glass half empty when it comes to watching the R's. Rarely am I comfortable watching us. I wished I had your disposition.
