One thing both top two have in common is gamesmanship, both whinge over any decision against them and both waste time effectively. I have to say that since January we've totally lost the plot and are unrecognisable from the first half of the season, MW has, for some reason, chopped and changed without any effect on what now looks a demoralised squad. You have to think this can't continue without him being the fall guy. I hope if a change is to be made a suitable replacement is properly thought through rather than a knee jerk sacking and taking whichever failure happens to be available. It saddens me that what seemed to look a golden opportunity at mid season has turned into a nightmare finish, we deserved better...

    Facts:
Ruperts were better than us and deserved the three points.
The standard of refereeing needs to be investigated. VAR is needed in this division.
The ref was miles away from the "penalty". The linsman was perfectly placed and gave a corner. They bullied a penalty from a very weak ref.
The penalty ended the game. We might have got an undeserved point.
Wallace complained to the ref and was carded, Ruperts were in his ear all the game.
Eustice's red card was an absolute joke. **** ref, again and again and again ,..

Despite everything. Fact: we were second best.

I don't think any of us honestly expected much from this game. Glad it was only 2 nil down.
Fulham were the better team by about as much as the value of their team against ours.
We actually played much better than against the likes of the Peterborough abjectication (yes, neologism required to describe that particular debacle!) so at least it was entertaining to watch.
    Next season beckons.

Shows where we’ve got to that George Thomas looked our stand out player.
Agree we were second best but that penalty decision was rubbish and the ref a pathetic little prick. The disrespect of their bench to start doing kick-ups when we’re chasing a game should have been dealt with by the ref.
Saw a comment recently that the Women’s league deserves VAR. Better not be before the Championship.

We aren't out of the play-offs yet but without Willock its looking unlikely. Chair who at his best could provide some of what Willock gave us has done little since he came back from the Afcon, and barely anything when he came on.

Let's be honest, at the turn of the year pretty much everyone had us finishing in the top 6 and outsiders for 2nd.
Injuries have played a part without a doubt, but imo Warburton has collapsed under the weight of expectation.
The squad have transformed from a close knit band of brothers who looked like they'd die for eachother, to a disgruntled looking bunch who's confidence and enthusiasm has been smashed out of them by a coach who has chopped and changed far too often.
It's clear to me that Warburton is very stubborn and always has a dig at any detractors in his interviews.
His faith in the science stats and concerns over the number of fixtures have addled his brain.
Losing Willock was probably the final nail in the coffin, but Warburton was ****ing this up long before we lost him.

Didnt see the game so im not in a postion to really comment. In fairness, i didnt expect anything against a team that has a squad better than some Premier league teams. I do agree with Col, we seemed, or Warbuton seemed to start experimenting with players and positions at the most pivotal part of the season. I dont believe all that 'we got found out' with our set up. We were free scoring, granted every formation has its pros and cons but to try play without a striker in the starting 11 was beyond delusional.
Its mathmatically still possible to reach the play offs, its realisticly not possible considering our form. Too much chopping and changing, too much pissing about has caused this run.

Was today's referee a former QPR goal keeping coach?

What derogatory chats were the Foolham singing? Something about QPR??

We’ve got to win 5 of 7 to get playoffs. There’s more chance of me pulling Nicole Aniston tonight.

Not our worst performance of recent times, but still pretty insipid, with little goal threat. Fulham were superior in all departments and fully deserved their win, but they were assisted by a referee who seemed to base a lot of his decisions on how loudly they appealed. I hope they get relegated next season with record low points.

Just woken up to read about this loss, along with papers talking about Warbuton gone.
Its all a bad dream an l'm sure and if l go back to bed and wake up again, none of this would have happened.

It's been a poor run, but having watched today, it seems a funny time to sack him. We lost to the runaway league leaders, and we actually put in a decent showing...I was fearing a proper hammering and that didn't happen. If he's gone, back to square one...again...and we've seen that hasn't worked over the past few years. Can't see anything else online, so is this just a rumour?

I seriously hope he does, but not if we place Eustace in charge. I put up a list of serious possible replacements a while go, while some wouldn't think twice about coming to us , others on it should be seeked out with intent. I'd prefer a young foreign coach with bright ideas but their are top British coaches plying their trades in league 1 and 2 that would be well worth taking a chance on. Warburton is incapable of taking a team beyond a certain point, he's completely lost it over the last 3 months. Thanks for improving us over the last couple of seasons and for at times some entertaining football but if we are ever gonna get out of this league and stabilise in the Prem, he's not the man to do it !

sadly the team gave us very little to get behind them with, a raucous Rangers backing may have made a difference.
We have completely lost it, on the pitch, in the dressing room, we played like we were strangers. Some difficult decisions
have to (and have already been) be addressed. Fulham were far better than us and 2-0 was a relief. It hurts me as much
as any Rangers fan to witness that performance and to listen to the happy clappers derogatory chants, but that is where we are at the moment,
miles away from Fulham and even further from Brentford:emoticon-0106-cryin

Apart from our best spell near the end of the 1st half our support seemed quiet compared to Foolhams, on QPR+. Was that just where the mykes were or for real?

Yeah wasn’t great but the sound rarely carries from the corner. Even before the game it was just a bit dead and a feeling of inevitability. Didn’t feel like a derby at all if we’re counting it as one, which I don’t.
