Match Preview;
So, back to QPR and some league football. Our visitors on Friday sit 20th in the table, four points and two places above the drop zone. Their top scorer is Tyler Walker, with 6 goals, and in total this year, they have scored 32. Only 7 less than us, but they have conceded 48, which is 5 more than us. They lost 2, drew 2, and won 1 of their last five before the international break. They'll be needing to pick up some points asap to avoid a very tense end to the season, having been promoted as League 1 champions last year.
As for us, not much excitement going into the end of the season stretch. We are 12th, 12 points off playoffs and 15 points from the bottom 3. Not exciting, but honestly can't say I'm too disappointed by that. At one point this year, I was worried we'd get drawn towards the bottom end of the table, but a spell of good form has kept that risk at bay, and any talk of top six this year is just too premature. With nine games now to go, if we could sneak into the top 10 that'd be a massive achievement in my book.
Team News;
Seny Dieng, Lyndon Dykes and Niko Hamalainen all featured for their countries during the internationals, and so may not be as fresh as others. Luke Amos, Charlie Owens and Tom Carroll are all still out with long term injuries.
For Coventry, Matt Godden may make a return.
Enjoy all those who will be watching, and as always, COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
