I dont see him starting based on performance, I hope the rest of the team snub the racist though. Id have Park out wide for his defensive ability but its good we dont have a set 11 and we dont even have a set formation, we have 3 or 4 to choose from. 442, 4231, 451, 4411.
Diakite and M'bia both missing is a big blow. Shame we haven't still got Buszaky knocking around. There are too many options.. I think i agree with col's lineup now! But then again, if we can't field diakite+mbia, we might be just as well served by playing the lineup from the city game? Most people seem to agree that there was an improved performance in the second half, so if we've built on that over the last two weeks, they might now be at a stage where they can give chelsea a good game? It would certainly fit in with the "need to gel" that everyone talks about. Its funny how a few weeks ago there were complaints that we played with a lone striker Vs Swansea, but now most people seem to consider that their favoured formation for this game. We've played 442 in our previous three games(norwich/walsall/city), so i wonder if it would be counter-productive to suddenly switch against the current best team in the league.. edit: After re-listening to the press conference where Hughes is asked about "team news", he says "erm apart from erm samba diakite who er, is not availavble, and stephane mbia who came back from international duty with a slight injury, everybody else is fit" , he doesn't explicitly say Mbia isn't available. So fingers crossed he's recovered by tomorrow..

I thought that initially, but if it didn't away to the champions, why should it at loftus road on a smaller pitch? Their 3rd goal in injury time was jammy too. Johnson and Zamora didn't really spend a lot of time attacking Vs city, they were both decent defensively, so playing with two attackers doesn't have to expose us if everyone defends when required.
Yep, you could be right. Johnson and BZ basically played across the midfield according to some who were there. I'd like to see us attack a bit more though.
They did, they basically made it a 451 when we lost possession taking turns to cover back. Also we wouldnt have scored if we didnt play 442.
We need to close up the flanks with Park and Mackie, use the advantage of the smaller pitch and get Adel and Granero to cause trouble in front of Faulin, when we win the ball, in a 451 formation. Who plays up front is not as important as getting the shape right, although I think that Cisse would give us more mobility when we counter. Most importantly is that we get at them from the off, like last season. I am already on edge!!!!
