More positives than negatives but this team won’t score goals. Not sure either keeper made a serious save and I fancied them to nick it more one they’d made their subs. Cook and Dunne were both good I thought. Colback incredibly lucky to not get a yellow early on. Smyth doing what he does which is more than most in this squad- wouldn’t have taken him off for that dosser Richards. Dozzell has to do more if he’s got the luxury of Field and Colback behind him. Did **** all.
It’s all very tight down the bottom. Shame we didn’t get the win and we’d be a win away from moving out of the bottom. But a point better than those around us is a positive. The bottom 8, or even 10/12, teams could fall into the melting pot of a relegation battle. We just need those goals and wins FFS. Of the bottom 14 teams only wins for Millwall and Norwich. Same old problem we don’t have the end product in us. One of those three strikers needs to find some ****ing form.
Kakay was way above his usual standard today. I thought Dozzell would flourish in this style but he didn’t shine Smyth played like a proper winger, taking on and beating players. Willock didn’t lose the ball often but he also didn’t try to do anything special. I didn’t see him try to get past the player in front of him once. Can’t imagine Armstrong getting many starts now. We might get more goals dropping him and Dykes and trying to pass it in. Special thanks to Stroller who inadvertently bought an enormous quantity of Guinness pre match.
Could have gone either way that, but one thing for sure, it's much more pleasing on the eye. Hopefully the board have woken up to the fact that now under numerous managers, we seem to have little to nothing in the final third. This season hinges on some transfers in January.
As has been said umpteen times, there ain't enough goals in this squad ! Been like it for way too long and no decent strikers brought in to remedy the situation. It's all our own doing
Another draw but hey, two points in two games, we're on a streak! If only we could find a goal scoring goalkeeper.
Out all afternoon, but a point is a point so tiny step in right direction..... Play off push starts in 2 weeks then......
Just seen the penalty incident with Armstrong....... Definitely falls in the seen them given category.... probably given 7 or 8 times out of 10.....
We didn't have 1 shot on target in the entire game at home to a poor side ! That's just diabolical, and if had happened under previous managers we'd all be going mental. Just can't see a way we're gonna get out of it this season, unfortunately
There may be no strikers in our team but without a forward pass it makes no difference. Several times we had a chance to push forward with a positive pass, stalled dribbled very slowly and let their midfield drop into position. Also when a defender is in trouble facing their own goal without a clue what to do stop charging into their arse and giving them an easy free kick. We dont just need a striker we need a few brains.
I tend to agree. We’re hugely reliant on Chair to create and while Willock was better than he has been it was nowhere near his previous level or Chair’s. Nice on the ball generally, defensively pretty good but apart from a couple of decent crosses no quality really. Still could have nicked it with the pen or if Armstrong got a touch on a cross he just missed but neither side deserved to score.
Yeah they were ****. Some decent players on paper but their fans don’t seem happy. They sold Alex Scott for big money and didn’t spend much of it.
I wouldn't call them a good side ! There's probably 3 or 4 good sides in the division, 4 or 5 reasonable sides, and the rest in reality are poor in my eyes. To not have a single shot on target at home in any game is just pathetic in my view
