We really can't write off the rest of the season

If nothing else many fans - myself included - have committed a lot of money to following the remaining matches and we deserve the same commitment from the players and management

I'm not a big fan of possession football. I attend matches to be entertained and possession football rarely does that. The best matches we've played this season have seen quick incisive passes and movement. The first half yesterday was very painful to watch at times and when we did finally start playing in the second half we looked dangerous. More of that please.....preferably with us scoring!

Sorry. Meant write off in terms of top six ambition. Completely agree with what you've stated. I expect to be entertained for my ST money even if we lose.

My first impression on seeing it was that he could see it was going to be intercepted and didn’t move towards the ball to protect it, conceding it too easy. Just an observation, big fan of the guy.
Shhh! Don't offer some constructive criticism about our flair player otherwise the negativity police will be all over you. But you're right off course: it happened right in front of me in the Ellerslie and you could see he could have retained possession by running towards the ball rather than waiting for it to roll onto him. A genuine but costly mistake as it turns out and if we're ever going to tackle our poor record against a high press these are the things we need to be doing better. Generally, it was a poor performance from Eze IMO.

This season is petering out into a much of a muchness yet again. I think this is our what? Fifth season since getting relegated in and around 16th place and looking down rather than up. Anyway, here's a rather delightful picture of Loftus Road taken during Saturday's match by Simon QC who goes by the handle of @clashboy23 on Twitter ...

The return of flat February - Knee Jerks
Monday, 3rd Feb 2020 16:45 by Antti Heinola

Antti Heinola returns to pick the bones out of Saturday's home defeat against Bristol City with his usual six talking points.

With the atmosphere flatter than a Paul Hart teamtalk, it was hard to believe this game took place in the same month as two triumphant thrashings and a defeat of the current league leaders. Then I remembered it was February 1, a brand new month, and it seemed slightly more understandable.

Only seen the highlights but looked worthy of a point......City looked very well organised and will be pushing top 6 come May....

Have to say it was a very good header to score.......must be the longest distance headed goal at loftus road since Toshack scored from Kings Cross......

Ok that's a very old gag for those of a
certain vintage.......I'll get my coat

Play Eze in his correct position you say?

**** me, no **** Sherlock!!

It was a very good header. Power and put in an area where the keeper couldn't get it...sadly

Things could be worse. A lot worse. We could all support massive and start thinking about season 18 in the championship <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

This might interest col and others who think Eze is playing wide...

In the Cup, Eze was played really deep by tinkerman.
My point is that we should play him at 10 and build the team around him.
Of course the three behind a forward should be fluid and interchangeable.
Tinkerman can't resist tinkering.

Isn't that what these show? He's playing as a 10 and having a free role to get him on the ball as much as possible to dictate play....

Also, he's easier to mark and double up on from the left. Many of those 'touches' would have been simple balls sideways or back.
We need him where the opposition least want him.
Also, Antti said in his own match report that Eze has been too deep etc and not driving in and around the opposition box so he's contradicting himself somewhat.
