I couldn't care less about Celtic but good to see Lennon fail - he's got such a chip on his shoulder
That’s your opinion. Doesn’t make it true.
I quite like Lennon but don’t care for Celtic. Prefer Rangers of the two but both ****s.
Why are only a few premier league teams included in the 2nd round?
How is it decided.
It’s good to see us win a battle - and the team celebrating the penalty win. It will pull the team together as a squad and keeps the winning mentality that MW has been talking about. It will be a tough game on Saturday, but let’s get onto ‘em Rrrrrrs and see what we can come away with.
Great to keep that positivity going.
Well done MW and Peter Eustace.
The teams that are playing in European competitions enter in the third round. The rest should be in it.
Just found that out.
I live amongst gloating Cektic and Rangers fans, constantly belittling any club that doesn't have "their history' - it's so ****ing annoying, that to see either (preferably both) of them fail is so satisfying!!
Just on way back from the game, great to see many changes and still playing a good passing game. You can see the quality in Smith, manages to find space and turn players so well - great to have a choice of Amos, Smith and Cameron in that middle.
Great entertainment for £15.......roll on Pompey!
Quite some first goal from Wells! Mind you, their FK amazing too. Highlights seem to be missing their third goal I think?
I recognise virtually no one.
Yeah, their 3rd goal was as good as their free kick.......right back cut inside and put it top right.......could not blame Kelly for it. You would have thought showing him into his left foot would have been safe, but he unleashed one!!
Our players, I mean.
So that was one hell of a match. For some of it we were outstanding, but then the defence went to sleep and they caught us.
Kelly, although he made two good saves in the shoot out, did not impress. He did not command the penalty area...balls just whizzed passed the front of his goal.
And look at Citys 3rd it went up and down...but everyone could see exactly where it was going...through the two city players ...sort of in the wall ok they were a metre away....but bad positioning and bad thinking.
We had 3 at the back Ball, Barbet, Leistner with wing backs Kane and Manning ( both outstanding).
Barbet was okay, Ball and Leistner were a bit slow and did get caught on the break.
Scowen did not have a good game and will not play Saturday. Smith was a little lightweight, and did not compare well against Amos when he came on...but there is class there, just needs work
Pugh was great really great for first hour...Wells was good too and worked his socks off...Chair started quietly but got stronger. He is a real gem...no idea who to play him or Eze on Saturday.. Start with Eze finish with Chair?
I liked Mlaker when on...reminded me a bit of the other Matt Smith but with much more skill.
Amos was good too.
We went off the boil in second half, but really fought back.
It was a good night
I like this team
I like what Warbs is trying to do
Disagree. The city players in the wall told him where it was going...but I will give you ...it really really dipped into the top corner
I was there.
To my shame I did not know that Ilias Chair is a Moroccan!
Surely an omen?!!
At the game I thought he should have got the free kick, but having seen the highlights it is a great strike.
Agree with you on Kelly not looking commanding in his box........he does look pretty small.
Never thought it would be such a great evening - a very enjoyable cup tie that had it all. I don’t think I’ve seen a ref let so
much go and was shocked we got a penalty. Lots of positives from our team, some really good movement and touches of quality. Let’s hope we beat them Saturday.
