I’m not one to put a lot of money on Rangers whoever we are playing but the bookies make us outsiders for this. You can get 2/1 on QPR. Well over 4/1 to win to nil. I’m tempted just to back 1-0 at 9/1. Also if anyone has bet365 they’re 20/1 on Pawel first goal which seems to be a mistake given he’s 8/1ish everywhere else.
Congratulations to the Manager on his first Manager of the Month award. Fantastic for the manager, the staff and the players... and especially for the fans. Great turn around from you all. Let’s keep going and get another now...
I think having Cameron back is more important than having Hemed back I know Wells was poor Saturday but he hasn't been
It was in January 1966 that my late father to me to Loftus Road for the first time as a 5 year old for a game against Brentford, it was a right of passage and 50 odd years later still here, although the visits are less frequent these days. Here's the programme "cover" from that game, I use the word "cover" loosely as it was basically an A4 sheet of paper folder in three to produce 6 pages. I don't remember anything about the game except we won 1-0, same result tomorrow wouldn't go amiss...…. please log in to view this image
I am off to Gothenburg tomorrow, so I'll miss the game, but my Swedish team, Norrköping, has a chance of winning the league again. Happy days!
Intrigued so just looked it up. Hope results go your way and you make up the two points to pip AIK to the title. Interesting that their season is from late March to early November, thus avoiding the worst of the winter. Enjoy your trip.
Wells is good, but I think to date Hemed has been better in the lone striker role we use now in 4 2 3 1, a better holding, laying off target man, and finishing. Not sure where Wells would best be used, but he was one (perhaps only) player who seemed more suited playing as a 2nd striker in the set up McClaren used when he and Hemed first joined us, which didn't look like it worked so well for the rest of the attacking players.
Ta Looking for a particular programme from the early eighties so thought they might show covers I looked but they dont The search continues
Oh dear woody....slight problem here. Possible compromise... Shall I delete your posting for reasons of superstition... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Clive's preview...... When curses collide - Preview Friday, 9th Nov 2018 20:21 by Clive Whittingham In advance of Saturday's visit from the best team we'll have played all season, Steve McClaren has been presented with the richly deserved/much loathed manager of the month award. QPR (7-2-7, WDWWWL, 11th) v Brentford (5-6-5, DDLLLW, 13th) Lancashire and District Senior League >>> Saturday November 10, 2018 >>> Kick Off 15.00 >>> Weather – Damp, breezy >>> Loftus Road, London, W12 You just knew that Grenfell bonfire story would come back to us didn’t you? Yeh it was in South Norwood; yeh it was perpetuated by the sort of ruddy-faced, brown-toothed, unthinking, foreigner-hating, little Englander scum we’ve come to associate with our neighbours down the road; yeh QPR has done more than most to help the victims of that dire event and anybody with even a passing connection to our club should have known far, far better… but you just knew didn’t you? If it’s kicking off on the front page of the gutter press of this country, we’ll be involved somewhere along the line. I see that the weather is surprisingly good for this time of year. May the sun shine on the R’s this afternoon.
No surprises in the first team selection. A full house at Loftus Road. Let’s hope it rocks! COYR’s!!!!
