Didn't see any of it, but it seems obvious that we've got to find a way to defend better. By all accounts, Dickie has completely turned to ****. Clarke-Salter back would help.
These players don’t care how $hit they play under any manager. I really don’t understand what has happened to Dickie and Dunne at the back. They were looking so good and have somehow consistently turned-in below average performances. Didn’t see the last two goals, but I was disappointed how Dunne had no idea of the player coming in behind him to get the ball in the net. Ainsworth will know they have some work to do to pick these guys up. Ilias’ injury sounds like another disaster to contend with too. It never rains …
Gareth has definitely got his work cut out to improve things, was totally inept after chair went off & Dozzell not a patch like him, 3rd goal dreadful in letting their player squirm past our 2 blokes, 1st was deflected on to their forward so a bit unlucky but he should’ve been picked up, good spell in first half but 2nd same as usual nothing & didn’t look like scoring
… and a hell of a big month in March with games against Rotherham, Blackpool and Birmingham who are all below us right now.
He's only had a couple of days to get an idea of our form, this will be confirmation of how we've fallen apart in the past few weeks. 12 cup finals to stay up and 10 points should be enough, no gimmes in this league so we have to stop gifting goals...
Since when we ever did anything the easy way? It'll come together but a lot of pain ahead Up the R's!
Lots of positives, but the end result was as usual: Ball watching, slow defenders (mostly Dickie) and a total lack of confidence when things went pear-shaped. Chair going off was pivitol. Why bring on Dozzy? Hopefully GA has now understood that he is simply not good enough. The commentator I listened to mentioned on a number of occassions (first half) that the atmosphere was incredible. We will be playing a few teams whom are a lot weaker than Blackburn, so let's not get too depressed, although, we most certainly are in a relegation scrap.
I was full of optimism after the 1st half, even going in 2-1 down. There was an intensity about our play, not seen for a long time. Chair going off injured really disrupted any slight bit of balance this team had and Dozzell replacing him was always going to be a non starter. The team just didn't look fit enough for the last 30 mins or more. The bench was never going to improve our performance. Would have much preferred to see Richards come on for Chair. I keep saying the same thing to my son, there's no balance in the team and the players just aren't good enough, as results show. There is no way on earth that this squad is as good as what Warburton assembled and even then we were found wanting. Ainsworth has his work cut out to keep us from falling into the relegation places. I really want it to work for him and for us but this was an appointment to appease the fans, to work with little to no budget and one that has experience of league 1. He needs to have the balls to try something totally different as the same players each week are either under performing consistently or are playing at their best and just aren't good enough.
First time I’ve been able to watch them in person this season. Kakay was decent. But apart from that. Wow. I’ve never seen such a poor QPR team. We never threatened their goal. Our equaliser only came from a terrible piece of defending that put it on a plate for Tim. And we carved open with one straight ball time and again. On that showing, we’re simply not good enough in every department. Any manager in the world would struggle to get a win out of that side. Afraid to say I fear the worst.
Was a cracking atmosphere at LR today, fantastic to hear. Kakay was stand out player, but Steffan, Martin and Dunne also did well. Some positives, hopefully Chair's injury is not too serious. Onwards and upwards, because we can't afford to sink further.
