Preview;
From our perspective, the title of the match article on our official site says it all...'Time to bounce back'. After a disappointing loss to West Brom, many were hoping for a response, not the thumping we were given by Cardiff. This has left us 11th, and only 2 points ahead of our visitors this Saturday. Blackburn drew with Forest in their last game, after losing to Luton. With Stuart Downing (35) and Danny Graham (34), they possess some experience in their squad, and in Bradley Dack, they have a midfielder who clearly has an eye for goal, having scored 4 so far.
I'll update when there is more on the official...but just wanted to give time for discussion and of course, pointing out players who have played for both that I have missed...I looked for a while this week but I'm sure there is someone from the 1930's or 40's I have missed.
From the official;
MARK Warburton’s men will be targeting three points in their final match before October’s international break when they host Blackburn Rovers on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
The R’s enjoyed a great run of form at the end of August and through September – winning four league games in a row – but back-to-back defeats since then has left them eager to return to winning ways.
In Wednesday’s defeat at Cardiff City, Rangers dominated for long spells and struck the woodwork twice as well as forcing home goalkeeper Alex Smithies into a number of good saves.
On another night, Warburton’s side could have taken three points back down the M4 but it wasn’t to be as Cardiff made the most of their set-piece situations.
Therefore, Saturday’s clash with Blackburn presents them with a great opportunity to head into the second international break of the season a positive note. Rovers – who sit 12th in the Championship currently – drew with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening.
