I suspect Swansea was the freak result in our 2019.

We need a brilliant new manager, because the players are going to be even worse next season.

    Will they be worse?

Chair, Smyth, Eze, Furlong , Manning, Lumley, BOS, Hall, Scowen, Kakay, Shodipo.

Is there not the makings of a team there with diamonds in the rough added over the summer too?

None of those have really shone this year. Lots haven’t really had a kick. It will take a good manager to get anything more than we’ve seen to date out of them. If others have seen potential in any they will be sold.

    Lovely weather

    Arrived late at the DW

2 quick pints and a scotch egg

That was the peak of my day

Football was v poor, two poor teams

All in 6/10 no pie but top notch scotch egg

I think i glimpsed Beth at Shepherds Bush Market tube station post match but it was very crowded and I was shunted further down the platform

Here's to tonking FL's Derby on Monday

Both teams looked what they are, lacking consistency, skill and motivation

Blackburn were lucky with a soft penalty and were generally sharper but all in below par

    Lovely weather though

How on earth do we go from last weeks sublime and energetic performance to this inexplicable dog **** within the space of a week? We looked good in the first five minutes but it quickly went downhill from there. Many Rs fans saying that they can't wait for this season to end, well imagine the dread you'll feel just before the new one begins.

I don’t get it either nines. In fact I don’t get our performance ups and downs for the last few years. We reach highs and crash with equal attitude. The players appear capable of pulling of one or two strong results then a string of dire performances. We have sacked a number of managers - with little or no improvement.
The unfortunate conclusion is that the culture of the club is poor and endemic. If so it seems we will have a few years more of this to endure.

Didn't see you in the DW wubba. So sorry.... We were there 1-2.30...in far back corner.... eventually with Melbourian and his friend.

Sorry to miss you on station.... probably was me...as I refuse to be shunted down....as I have to run from Edgware Road to Marylebone to get the train..

    The Scotch eggs are nice...
    Sorry to have missed you

next season really worries me. If the majority of this present squad are kept, I can see us relegation certainties. They have no heart and a losing mentality:angry:

We were late getting to the pub, long drive from N Wales see. (Picked up hire car at 8am.)

Good to catch up and reminisce of better Rangers days including the “what if” scenarios from 76.

What followed was mostly tosh. There wasn’t a lot of quality on display, by both sides, although you just knew Danny Graham and Dack were going to get chances.

Torrid afternoon for Manning; not as bad for Furlong but from the Upper Loft, big gaps on the wings were evident. BOS in front of Manning didn’t work; BOS too attack minded, and exposed Manning when the moves eventually broke down.

Hemed was particularly poor and I get the feeling he’ll be somewhere near his level if Brighton go down. There’s no way he’s Prem based on that.

Freeman was off pace and sadly, predictably so one footed, he was never getting to the bye line in the second half playing on the right.

Not a lot of energy in the midfield today, Luongo broke up a few Blackburn moves with timely tackles, but Cousins looked dreadful til the injury. One break in particular summed his afternoon up - through in a 3 on 2, option right was better, delayed pass, saw BOS hammering left in the clear, moved to the left and fell over. How I saw it anyway.

Pav was better, showed up and put in some effort.

You just knew that Smith was going to get something towards the end. Wonder what his goals per minute ratio is compared to our other scorers. Terry?

Had a good view from behind Lumley’s goal in row E - I can report to Beth and the gang that there is s big screen on the School End and that there were more than 3 Rovers supporters. Watched second half from the back with the gang for some gallows humour and although disappointed with the fare, had an ok day.

Got out of the Westfield car park by 5.20, dropped my mate of in Beaconsfield and got back to North Wales by 10.30. A long day that warranted a better performance, hoping for an improved display on Monday.

And referee did well not to send BOS off, can only think it didn’t look as bad at ground level, although the Rovers player did a good job of making it look horrible.

We need some leaders in the squad. None on display yesterday and not sure there’s much coming back from loans

We all seem to agree the problems are deep rooted.

We've changed managers goodness knows how many times and that has not addressed these deep rooted issues.

Is it time, therefore, for new owners? Personally ambivalent about that as it is another roll of the dice with no guarantee we will actually be better off.

I really despair at what has happened to us in the past few seasons. The bottom line is our recruitment is shyte, many players brought in patently are not good enough at this level, some are not even League One level. Until a way of bringing in good quality players who can be coached the right way is brought in we will be on a downward spiral. Look at Brentford, a team with less resources than ourselves but are consistently producing a side which punches well above it's weight and play attractive football.

The DoF is responsible for all footballing matters and on that score Sir Les is failing consistently to produce an ethos and playing style that will achieve improved results. If, as has been mentioned elsewhere, he is being overruled by the owners in hiring and firing decisions he should have the bottle to resign and state why. Until this succession of knee-jerk half-wit decisions is ended and a clear and achieveable improvement plan is started we will be heading the same way as Ipswich, another once great club misrun into oblivion...
