Plus, we actually looked quite threatening when we had a corner. Obviously implemented the long awaited set play training routines!
He looked so good in the highlights we got from League 2. Obviously defenders are better in the Championship, and last season though I didnt think he was that good, he did have some better attacking players alongside him Eze especially, but also Wells a while, Hugill, Pugh, and the forward play of Manning, than he has from what I've seen so far this season
Yes, I agree. The loss of those other players has left him exposed, and so far he hasn't shown the form or talent to be the player that newer recruits can adapt to and play alongside. We really need him to step up to the plate - I feel that there is a decent player there
That’s probably your only quote where you’ve wrote something sensible & that includes Covid & Politics thread
having read a lot of the comments regarding Chair, apart from us losing some of the more experienced championship players we had, I do wonder whether there is too much expectation put on his shoulders to become an Eze mark 2. I think as has been said, he might need a break and has new players to learn how to play with, but maybe we are putting him under pressure to fill the gap of a young player called Eze (who needed time to settle into the side). Maybe the lack of fans affects the players a lot more than realised hence the reason why there has been some strange results this season so far.
This is a good point Ninj the season before last I seem to remember Eze not living up to the expectation and last season everything came right. This could be a similar situation and if so we need patience. I would bare in mind that it is very early days and it may take half of the season for the team/management to get going, which incidentally, is not the end of the world or season. Plenty of teams have soured through the second half of a season and gone into the playoffs in form. I'm not holding my breath but live in hope.
Away to Barnsley is exactly where to rest Chair. I would expect us to play Ball and Cameron...and only one striker. So a three of BOS, Carroll, Adomeh Dykes up front With Willoch and Bonne to come on at 60 minutes
I don't know whether Clive was late for his deadline, but a bit more punctuation would have made that an easier read. Good to hear that Dieng looks the part. But, no mention of how Nico looked?
Dieng has done very well so far, especially his command of the Box, taking of high crosses, and the confidence he must give our defenders. Our clear MOM Saturday for me.
You missed it. If you meant for tonight's game, it should be on the Sky red button. If you don't have Sky, Steelmonkey normally comes up with a stream. Check the other thread.
