Match preview;

It has been almost three months since I wrote the text you see below. In that time almost half a million people have lost their lives to COVID-19, with 41,698 of those deaths in the UK. Many on here will have lost loved ones, not seen friends or family for a long time, been hit with unexpected economic difficulties, or even redundancy. The government has been covered in scandal, and has faced heavy criticism for it's dealing with the crisis and the seemingly nonchalant attitude of some senior officials. The world has been shaken by the tragic death of George Floyd, and Black Lives Matters marches have spread across the globe. There have been some violent clashes as opposition groups have also taken to the streets. I know this isn't the politics thread, but isn't it amazing how much can change and how much can happen in three months.

To be clear, in no way whatsoever do I mean to belittle or dismiss the above, and I think we need to use the last three months as a stark wake-up call to injustices in this world, both economic and racial, and take a moment to reflect on what you personally can do to make this world a better place. All that to say, isn't it exciting to have some football to look forward to again!

Next Saturday, no one will be there to welcome bottom of the table Barnsley to the Kiyan Prince. Barnsley have lost their last two, after winning three in a row before that. Those three wins have given them hope of survival, as they now only sit seven points from safety with nine to play. Looking at their top scorers, it is pretty obvious to see where we need to focus...Woodrow and Chaplin have 27 goals between them in all competitions...and given Barnsley have only scored 42 in the league, if we can work out how to keep them quiet that is most of their threat nullified.

I'll add some team news when it goes up on the official, but I'll be pretty annoyed if it doesn't look like this;

TEAM NEWS:
After three months of self-isolating and then a couple of weeks of socially distanced training, every single QPR player is fully fit, raring to go, and out to give 110% for every second of every match for the rest of the season...to see where that gets us.
