This is so important to you isn't it, Col? I'll just go on believing what I saw with my own eyes.
It was definitely 4 4 2 btw . Robinson hardly got over the half way line and perch was definitely playing fullback . I think freeman was encouraged to pull left whenever possible but we were very lop sided especially in a very poor first half performance.

Saying that I’m glad we have stopped with the 5 at the back ( against biro it was def 5 and not 3 ) and see players in their natural positions .

I was there, didn't expect to get bashed 4-0 after our start to the season. Craig Johnson, John Aldridge ( again, after what he did for Oxford against us at Wembley ) and John Barnes were out of this world. A proper hammering.

Yesterday was all about getting the three points. No more no less.

I went up by train to Liverpool. The train pulled into some small station where we were put on to double-decker buses. We went through this lovely area of Liverpool with much abuse and a few stones and bricks aimed at the buses. I remember seeing the 'Kop' which was rocking and thought it was very intimidating.
Agree Saturday was about 3 points as I said in my first post. :emoticon-0148-yes:

You might have been wrong. I've been at games where we played a certain formation and others have been positive it was a different one.

Whoever is correct, and it doesn't really matter, it demonstrates how our line ups are so baffling at times.

Maybe it was a 3.5 : 4.5 : 0 formation devised in IH’s head to confuse everyone.

It was 442 with no-one wide left
I was there - it certainly seemed to be
Slightly odd to drop Bidwell for the one formation he is best suited to
We got some quality crosses in first half for a change
To me it all felt like a sh*t game from the 80s/90s
Can't fully explain why though?

Here's the other bloke on LFW describing the formation just the way I did (along with pretty much everyone else who went to the game).

So odd in fact that maybe he wanted Robinson at wing-back?

Ok, Ok I'll stop now before Stroll's head explodes! :emoticon-0136-giggl

How refreshing to see a player delighted to score against his old team without going through the motions of muted acknowledgement to his current team mates that it was him wot done it but remember, he has a soul and feels crap about it (deep feelings of shame and embarrassment) and looks as though he just wants to cry. Life can be such a bitch. Almost as comical as watching a tennis player winning a fluky point as the net cord plays havoc with his opponent's positioning and then polishing him off with a series of wonder shots. Well done the rat. Hey Kiwi how did you die hard Barnsley fans take that?

So Leeds are going after Heckinbottom (?) the Barnsley coach..

So two teams (Burton and Barnsley) have relegated pencilled in by their name now???

That might explain why he signed an extended contract with Barnsley last week, perhaps they got wind of the Leeds job coming up. Still, that should be good news for us with another drop candidate in some disarray...
