No one had a bad game but Leistner, Lynch (MOTM), Freeman and Wzsolek were outstanding with an excellent cameo from Scowen at the end. A real gutsy team performance. McClaren has something going on here
They had some good possession but were ineffective in the final third. The front two were shocking. A classic case of it ain't what you got, it's how you use it.
Just saying I saw all 5 games in October Reading (A), Derby (H), Ipswich (A), Wednesday (H), and tonight.. On 1st October I sent a text out to the people I go with saying...I'm seeing 100% matches in October. I predict 3points and a new manager... Cannot be more wrong...and I am so so delighted. Going home for a sleep now.. Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Both ... You'll still have that elated feeling that we won and we are 7th, but have the feel of despondency as we drop back down the table. But enjoy the now, 1 point off the play offs and three points off of top spot.
Thought we were superb again second half after riding our luck in the first. Incredible shift from all of them and Stevie Mac got the subs correct again. Villa were all cock and no balls. Rangers were a huge pair of balls and just the right amount of cock.
Phew, just back, Kiwi made me drink too much, not totally convincing but never felt that Villa would score, counted down the minutes from 70 though
Man of the Match - QPR's Joel Lynch. 7 clearances - joint most in match 2 blocks, 2 tackles 75% aerial duels won ... It's like having a new superstar signing! please log in to view this image
This can't be right can it? Three wins in a week? It was rope-a-dope stuff tonight. You have the ball until you've passed yourselves stupid, then we'll have it and we'll get a goal. Not a brilliant performance, but we won on organisation and fitness. When you don't have the ball for two-thirds of the game, you are doing a lot of chasing, but we never stopped for the whole ninety minutes and defensively we were superb. I can only think of one real save that Lumley had to make, and even that was fairly comfortable. Well done Schteeve.
Just like to add that I can now see what Cameron brings to the table....just sits in front of the back 4, breaks up play and plays the most sublime ball over the top to Pawel to score.....him and scowan who was immense when he came on have that DCM role off to a tee..... Mention to bidwell who played bolaise really well and mad some superb tackles.... Oh sod it.....Mass, luke tomer, naki,Pawel ebere , just utterly magnificent tonight.. ..think that covers everyone but if not I apologise....oh mr mcclaren i admit to being wrong to want you gone after Blackpool and Swansea, you've turned things around, take a bow....
