Match Preview;
This weekend we have a cup tie against Premier League side Bournemouth FC. Before their defeat to Spurs on Sunday, Bournemouth had won 4 in a row, including a 0-3 victory at Old Trafford. Their top scorer is Dominic Solanke, with 13 so far this season, and it'll be interesting to see if their starting 11 are rested, or they play a strong side. Given our form, if they put out their best side, I don't hold much hope.
I'm sorry to say I haven't seen much that inspires hope from watching QPR in recent months. We had a nice little run of three wins in a row from November 28th to December 9th, but since then we've lost 4 and drawn 2, slipped into the relegation zone, and now sit 23rd, and 4 points from safety. Our next league game is on the 14th January, and so I had a look at the table from the same date last year. We'd won 10, drawn 7 and lost 10. Looking at that, it means in the last calendar year, we've won 8, drawn 10 and lost 27. We've gone through two managers, Critchley and Ainsworth, and seen massive dips in form from some of our key players. All makes for rather grim reading, and I know I should launch into a fantasy about the magic of the FA Cup, but sadly, with this bunch of players I just don't see it happening. A mixture of lack of ability and lack of desire means I am just hoping we get enough on the board this season to stay up, I have no hope of a cup run. I made it to the Southampton game, and it was just frustrating to watch such slow and predictable build up play.
Enjoy if you'll be at the match, team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, and as always, no matter how bad it gets...
...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
