Balls, bit of bad luck for Smithies there. In the build up to that goal Henry was pressing the ball, but no one else was - that's not the way to play that game, you have to hunt in packs.
Here we go again, what a jammy goal to concede, but they all count. At least we now have the whole 2nd half to win this.
QPR 1-1 Wolves Posted at48 mins In hindsight somebody could have closed him down, but it's just thoroughly unlucky and thoroughly undeserved goal for Wolves as well. Matt LawrenceBBC Radio London co-commentator
On the contrary, he was the only one who was doing his job, or at least trying to. But he could play a blinder and it wouldn't make a difference to most on here.
Trying to work out whether Van la Parra is very good or whether Konchesky is just crap. Bit of both probably. No need, he was pressing the ball in the right place on the pitch, didn't get it (maybe if another midfielder had been doing his job we would have) but there was still a full defence behind him who should have dealt with it. Just lazy and biased to blame him for a fluke goal. Not looking good at the moment.
Getting too panicky at the back now. I'm not going to slam Henry for the goal, yes he switched off momentarily but then made a decent recovery tackle it was just bad lucky he ball fell to his Wolves namesake And then mental bad luck with the deflections.
I'll stick with he didn't do his job. That is what his game is supposed to be all about. He gave up on it for a split second and the ground he conceded made the difference. He didn't 'stay at it'. Infuriating.
