Evening folks it's my first post just joined the forum this evening. Interesting match....I sat next to my hubby who is in fact a life long Hammer, but we're still talking (just!) We shook hands at the end of the match and now he's sleeping in the spare room! No comments about MH, but the sending off killed the momentum we were gathering after that fantastic goal......!
I actually thought Zamora was outstanding today and has been for weeks, Taraabt had a good cameo when he came on as well. Granero is an excellent player. I can't help but thinking Hughes is using the wrong formation/tactics to get the best out of the players he has. Hoilett should be starting games for you guys IMO
McCartney had to foul him to stop him and got booked, others fouled him too and he got nothing. He shook of players and accelerated through their midfield with his first touch, and a couple more times. he's electric both positively and negatively, but if he can learn not to tackle like that on a yellow he'll be brilliant for us. But can Hughes teach him, I doubt it.
His first touch was lacking at times but I was really impressed with the way he linked up with Cisse, then again I was only judging from the armchair so it doesn't hold much salt. A shame about Diakite, he reminds me of Mikel and Essien in their early days, lots of potential and talent but lack of discipline, that will come in time though and I'm sure he'll be a great player for you

I find it quite amazing that DL can come on our board and be so generous after such a performance and still talk sense. Thanks for not wumming DL. You could well be the nicest bloke I've never met. ( I guess you had to be there really to realise how shocking we were. )
