I ain't nobodies Cheerleader mate. When someone makes a balls of summat I'll say it. But you're right in that results are all that counts this season and it ain't over yet! 'Arry's got to get his sh*t together though and settle on a side because we've only two to go before we clash horns with Athletico Wigan
Awful game, no atmosphere but somehow managed to get an undeserved 3 points. The players looked utterly confused all game with no idea what to do. Redknapp got it all wrong yet again but the players managed to overcome his clear failings, I hope but dont think that will happen with the playoff sides.
Less than 100 posts on a match day thread! Surely we took Holloway's ugliest bird ever home in the taxi yesterday!
But on paper we played a weakened team against Leicester. Maybe our stronger players are not the best option
Correct mate. I said after the Leicester game that that weakened side had the most balanced looking midfield I'd seen all season (or near enough). The stronger players aren't the best option if they're too alike and are all just chucked into a team together without much of a coordinated system. I'm starting to agree that Carroll and Barton can't play together. I'm still unsure as to what kind of player would best partner Austin up front. Doyle played with him for the first time Saturday but its hard to judge on that one. Austin is a peculiar player in that he's not a target man, nor a poacher. He's like an old fashioned English center forward from 30 years ago and that's pretty rare nowadays. Lets just hope that when Harry puts up his list of players on the Dart Board before the playoffs and chucks 11 darts over his shoulder, that it will somehow work out!
Of course, its why the fans are just waiting it out to have a go for next season whatever division we are in, there's no enthusiasm in any part of the ground. I've seen many posts hoping to lose the playoffs and go up properly with a team we can keep.
