I agree that we looked better with Zarate, Vargas and Isla on. They all should start in a fluid formation along with Taarabt imo.
Play Zarate, Taarabt amd Fer in behind Vargas.

No, you get real. You must have fallen asleep during that game!
Traore was dreadful. My lad said after the game that he couldn't think of one single positive thing to say about Traore's performance. He was lacklustre and he certainly didn't track Clyne very well at all.
When Taarabt was taken off ahead of Traore, the loft broke out in boos. Everyone around me was moaning about Traore and Fer, but mostly Traore.
You're talking utter garbage.
Also, if you're so upset by the home support, why don't you come up the home end and try to join in?

Don't ****ing lecture me on getting real when you talk such utter bollocks!

I will lecture you when you post such shallow rubbish and don't care one bit . It was clear Traore was there to do a stopping job and that involves a lot work without the ball
He is a very smart player that Clyne very smart indeed real quality and moves just at the right moment
Traore did well
I watched every bloody second on the ball and off it and it's not fair to pick out a player that did his job well
I have already said that on the ball he was poor on distribution
fFS we could pick entire holes in everyone esp Players like Fer today who was a passenger

I reply to challenge posters when they get it wrong imo

Posting rubbish well look back over time you will find the current average QPR fan does what ? Slag off individual players how bloody naive is that

I don't care how people take it I see things as they really are and care not if people think I know very little ... It's your choice I am fully confident in my understanding of football

That was because we only had 2 in CM , playing 2 wide men like we did today gives that risk. I think 1 wide man is enough. Krancjar or Henry would have been better selections than Traore today.

Yeah, agree they'd have been better selections, but still don't think we offer enough right across midfield.

I must admit to being slightly confused when reading all the overly-negative comments on here after the match (especially from Mr Apocalypse now.....Sooperhoop).

I thought we played well today. Good effort from the lads, good skill and matched a very decent side. We just lacked that bit of quality up top when it mattered. Put in the same level of performance on Tuesday night and I wouldn't be surprised if we won.

I'd be bloody amazed!!

Haven't read the whole thread but it wasn't a great game today, Saints weren't up to much, neither team really threatened until the inevitable. Zarate looked lively, Adel always interesting, Barton (gulp) played well, Dunne his usual and Hill ok under a lot of pressure. Phillips at least got a couple of crosses in. On the downside Ned is not good enough, Caulker no discipline, Austin offered no threat and Traore completely pointless. But Fer took the biscuit for me, whenever he got the ball turned 360 degrees and then lost it. Very few crisp, first time passes from anybody.

In Adel, Vargas, Zarate and Isla at least we have some clever players. We tried to pass it rather than lump it today (hooray) if we want to do this they all have to play. I'd like to give Ramsey a few weeks at least to get some more modern thinking going on, can't really see the point of getting someone in to 'keep us up' when I'm afraid it ain't gonna happen. WE were (I think) at least trying to play a better game today.
Agree about Ramsey. Maybe a bit too gung ho with 2 wide men but much prefer that to the lack of tactics and usually no apparent plan we'very had.

Traore was awful both with and without the ball. He was lacklustre and always yards off his man.

You think you're always right, but you're not. Individual players have been slagged off by fans since the dawn of the game ffs! If I can see that someone like Traore isn't putting in the effort, I will moan about him. Most of us thought the same thing about Bosingwa..............another of your favourite players who you always defended. You get it wrong so often it's laughable.

I'd be bloody amazed!!

We just need to tweak it COL. I think the basics are there. The effort was on show today and between Fer, Phillips (okay, I know you don't like him) and especially Taraabt, there were some good footballers who can do decent things with the ball and create summat. Maybe like you suggested, put Vargas up top with Zarate supporting and Isla wide right?

Its not that we've bad players IMO, its just that we're out of whack. You know, a wee bit lopsided?

The flicks and tricks didn't come off and of course it looks poor but personally I think you keep going with that creativity then Good things grow

It's was a poor game but take stock of where we were

Saints are tight and full respect to them 2 secs quicker and Ward Prowse looked good but I hope we can all agree that we can do flair as well albeit one disjointed performance from a new team

A draw would of been a good result
Credit to the manager he grows this away from home we could well see our first away points come soon

Keep it up I say

Drop Traore next match but not because he was poor on the ball off it he did well

My point is we have the players

We can get better and will unlock teams imo

I think I did quite well off the ball.

That has to be the biggest load of utter bollox I've ever read on this Forum and there's been plenty to choose from, you've completely surpassed yourself DT...

Ok give me some positives then?
Can you?
Traore went off at 75 not because he was poor because he did his job to stop a very clever player who is I believe a England player ?

Isla came on to try and win it as he is a far better attacker imo than a defender

What this is Traore isn't liked but he has one thing no one has mentioned in his game excellent pace to cancel out Clyne vision and positioning
He did that well for 75 min
And bollocks posters want him never to play again

That is rubbish

I didn't say I didn't like Traore. When I saw the team I was pleased to see him in his correct position.
However, he played terribly. He didn't track off the ball well and looked disinterested.

It's all opinions and yours is just that......an opinion. Not fact.

Positives?
Zarate looked good and should start imo.
Fer looked better in the middle, but was too deep. (He had to be as we played a very open midfield).
Dunne played well until he went off injured.
Barton was excellent.

The game is called football DT, if when you get the ball you f*ck up every time you won't get very far, no matter how much you do off the ball it's what you do with the ball that counts.

Traore is the full-back we signed from Arsenal a few days after he played in their 8-2 defeat against ManUre, a resounding recommendation if ever there was one, he just doesn't cut it at the top level...

I was surprised with the starting line up
thought we looked better with the Chileans
Zarate looked up for it but I think he is a bit of a ball hog
tarrabt always good to watch
hill/dunne just too old now
pity hoillet and yun not available today(even swp)
nothing to add about traore
everybody liked as promised

Does that make me a bollocks poster?

Yes, Traore has excellent pace, but that doesn't make him a footballer.

You profess to know more about the game than the rest of us DT, but you really don't.

Completely agree, Nico ahead of Traore every time.

Not sure who our best winger is at the moment. I know it's not Traore, SWP or Phillips.

I thought Phillips did well today when on the right side. Some good crosses, only a couple of total fukk ups. He can't play left side though.

Perhaps we should try Taarabt out on the left, when Yun is back fit there would be plenty of decent cover. Can't do it with Hill at Left Back though.
