Could be three central midfielders with Johnson dropping deep.

 

If so, it is not a very attacking formation. Surely we should be going for it?

 

I assume Barton will be on the right and Hoilett on the left in a 442, shame about the fulham pair up front.

Its a shock to see Traore start, I thought Yun did really well in pre season

 

shame austin isnt given the start, looks a little lob-sided

 

Or very attacking with Hoilett and Johnson being given licence to thrill.

 

Expect Simpson and Traore to do the wing work.

 

I'm useless at formations always have been. Played centre midfield for 25 years just run up and down. Still don't understand the formation today.

Well, I certainly didn't expect that line-up. Interesting to see what the formation will be. Austin to score the winner.

Talking of formations - Skysports have Onuoha on the right wing, Zamora on the left, Henry at CB and Hoilett up front!!!! I bloody hope they are wrong.
