Surely this was just a chance for fringe players to give NW some selection headaches - it appears the only thing confirmed is a lack of depth.
This would concern me greatly if it weren't for the fact that we only played 3 first team players, 1 of whom went off early, the other two aren't match fit and just needed the run out and because we hadn't bought anyone yet. But even so, it shows just how lacking we really are. It's all very well bringing in 4-5 quality players, bit we need them in the team. But in the PL you need a squad to be able to survive. If we can't even field a second string team to beat a league 1 team then it will be a tough year, new signings an all.
Is it bollocks. If we weren't looking to win why did we play Bothroyd, Taarabt, Connolly, Orr etc. **** performance losing to a poor League 1 side. I hope Warnock rips them in the changing room. Twats.
Perhaps we should stick to playing away from home! Also the last defeat meant a good kick up the arse and a much better performance at Everton, could this help us for Wigan at the weekend?
Come on lads, chill out, this was entirely predictable and saves having unnecessary additional matches intruding on the PL campaign. I'll bet Warnock is delighted...
