    A few points and observations:

1, it is no shame for any club in the PL to lose against Manchester United, even at home.

2, the Rs remain unable to string more than 2-3 passes together - if they can't keep the ball it is inevitable that they will (a) be subjected to greater pressure at the back and ship goals, and (b) fail to create much by way of goal scoring chances.

3, not getting enough bodies in the box when they have possession makes it even more unlikely that the Rs will score goals. Too often they get upfield and its 2v5 or whatever. Little chance.

4, long balls from the back that bypass midfield will achieve nothing other than a brief defensive respite.

5, there appears to be nobody up front with anything resembling goalscoring ability. Why did Harry send both Cisse and Campbell out on loan when both Zamora and Remy have injury problems?

TBH Uber I think that sums up the situation very well.....we really don't have any goal threat and that will see us ultimately relegated...

What I missed out, however, is the evident lack of guile in the final third, too. Taarabt is trying beat the world before getting his now customary weak and directionless shot off, so where is the guy with the clever, defence-splitting pass? We seem to have a few guys capable of creating something for themselves, but we need them to create something for the team.

What is particularly disappointing is that United are putting on a performance that appears easily beatable today, but the Rs lack anything capable of doing this. Your guess is as good as mine as to whether United are simply poor today, or whether this is just so easy for them that they don't have to try that hard.

We really need some goals. We haven't scored at Loftus Road in league play since Boxing Day - Remy looked sharp on that shot.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Leon Clarke scores his 8th goal in 8 games since joining Coventry in January. He did the same for Chesterfield & Scunthorpe, just never for us.

Let's see what Hoilett can add to our game. A point would be nice (or three).

Townsend off makes no sense, should have been Mackie or Taarabt who have both been below dreadfull today.

I guess we'll find out if we have a team capable of beating Coventry, Chesterfield and Scunthorpe real soon, Kilburn.

We're fast running out of relegation candidates to spare us from the drop 3 - any sort of chance is in our hands. Now Giggs! Hello Barnsley.

Great goal by Giggs. Very simple and effective. Just what I said we're lacking in post 46.

We were down in November when Sparkless left us with 4 pts with over the third of the season gone. His quote "Never will we be in a relegation situation again whilst im manager of this football club" has surely made him one of the biggest laughing stocks (if your not an Rs fans) in the history of the Premiership.
