Watford fan here. Am I right in thinking that in order to take a quick free-kick, the player must get the OK from the ref? If I'm right, for the Dunne own goal it should have been disallowed and the free-kick retaken. The same could be said for Everton's third goal against Villa yesterday.
I predicted 3-2 but to us not them and as I was hoping it would be like last time we played them at LR. Well in a way it could not have been more different we took control and did not deserve to lose that game. But like last time the goals that counted all came right at the end. I was in the pub with everyone else supporting Liverpool, although not a scouser amongst them, but then it was in back of beyond Cornwall. The people sitting behind us were very much Liverpool supporters and very excited at the result, I felt the need to tell them that they won't win the league playing so badly and not every team they play against will be so kind as to score their winning goals for them. They went very quiet at this point and my husband told me it was time to leave. I did say to my husband ( the Liverpool supporter) in the first half that it was good to watch a game of football with him when he shakes his head in dismay and it was not dismay at QPR. He was shocked how well we played in first half and how we came back again in last 15 minutes or so. In the last few minutes I really believed we could have won it, but not meant to be, but we showed improvement whatever we believe the formation actually was and a fluid formation that works is better than a set game plan that does not work. I agree with, I think it was rangercol, that when Ounuha went off injured Philips, was the wrong option, but Vargas for Zamora who had a great game up until he was substituted, was a great choice as really we have not seen him do a great deal for all his hype so far. I think with Villa showing signs of struggling now we could have a chance if we play as we did today. A good game and am actually looking forward to MoTD for a change. I do wish Harry would not publicly slate any of our players and his comments of Adel where not needed after today's game, Adel in my opinion could have made a difference, and is no where near 3 stone over weight, there I have come out of the closet as a fan of Adel, his skills, not his attitude, or what we are told by Harry is his attitude. Rambled enough now.... Off to watch MoTD
