It seems we are not the only bottlers at this stage of the season: Tyrese Campbell's first-half strike gives Stoke three points against a woeful Southampton side and ensures their safety in the Championship. Saints slip to a third consecutive league defeat. West Brom slip to sixth, have one win in seven and are in real danger of missing out on the play-off places. All over at Carrow Road and Norwich's play-off place isn't quite assured just yet after they draw 2-2 with Swansea in an entertaining affair.
A bit off topic but blades have just been relegated as has Huddersfield, we look to have blown automatic promotion, the wendies look like they may have just saved themselves so why is Yorkshire so poor in footballing terms?
FFS..sick of the moaning. Knee jerk comments after a **** result. We are in the playoffs unless 6 fingers lose twice. We are the best team in this League, beaten IPS and Leic twice. Support the team, I'll be there next week with all my boys
Ok, I’m as “upset” as anyone about the last few results but, perspective…. We are gutted because our incredible run put us in with a shout, Southampton could say exactly the same, they looked odds on a short time ago. Truth is, our results since January flattered us a bit and the players had nothing to lose just going for it. When the heat turned up we left the kitchen. The international break stopped that incredible momentum in its tracks, minds and bodies probably felt tired for the first time in months and, it is easy to forget but we also have the second youngest squad in the Championship. People have speculated that Doc is more unwell than he has let on, Eires dad sounds sadly poorly, probably everyone has lost a loved one in the last year, Jammy seems to have stopped posting (and this is purely me speculating), likely because it can be so negative on here, but, this is only football. If Ipswich go up, it’s because they deserve it (as do Leicester). Maybe the Play Offs will bring incredible excitement or the usual disappointment but, c’est la vie, I’ll be back in August looking forward to the new season with my usual (over) optimistic hope
I know all the above is true------------------------------------------------------------------BUT I AM STILL PI**** OFF -----------------
Great post. Update on dad he’s turned a corner and getting stronger by the day thankfully. At 91 of course that could change quickly. You should have heard the language when I gave him last nights Leeds result. Wasn’t good
We are due a promotion in a play off. Going up via the play offs would be much more exciting than autos. Flip side is that it's twice as devastating if it doesn't work out. I still believe that if we play well then we will beat any team in this division and comfortably.
