Nothing today but he's a poor goalie. I was talking about overall play hence the comment about hill getting another contract.

Harry - "i haven't been disappointed in any of our performances"

Now everyone should be lost for words.

    And...

    Tony Fernandes ✔ @tonyfernandes
Well played boys. Showed character with so many difficulties. Onwards and upwards. Though adversity comes strength.

Harry obviously doesn't have great expectations...

Sorry Flyer, you are wrong on this one.
Green is not a poor goalie....Did little wrong today....kept us in it actually (on topof the save from the "poorly taken penalty"

He has been keeping us in it all season....a lot of those 1-0 wins are down to him

You are right about many other things....but Clint you are also wrong about I am really sad to say
Promoted or not....we must get in younger more agile CBs....

I would be very happy to see Clint stay behind the scenes.....I predict a very good manager there...I hope perhaps ours

My player of the season....but I would vote with my heart...not my head

I didn't like when he pat-a-caked the ball back into the danger area during that save though, should've tipped it round the post. Or the hoof straight into touch on 90 minutes when we wanted to go on the attack.

I thought I heard Harry say in his aftermatch that Traore had a tear, hopefully not the case or he'll be playing Murphy on the wing next week.

Trouble is with keepers, people are satisfied unless they make an obvious error, look at butlands save on Traore, he made it but no one would have blamed green for letting it in...which he would have, he is so, so slow that he rarely gets near anything. He also cost us a point at Charlton and rarely makes a big save.

He made two saves today, one was right at him and the other was a pen that he didn't have to rely on quick movement.

Some people just love goalies, camp was truly awful and so was Kenny in his last year here yet people still think they are great.

Saying that, green isn't the reason for the results but I think we can get a better and younger goalie for 40k a week, does anyone think green is the best we could do with that money?

Thought he was right to take Hoilett off, but got his substitution totally wrong. We lost the little width we had. Bring him off yes but only for another wide man. Which I don't think we had on the bench??? If that's right then Hoilett should have been kept on. At least the oppo fears him and can't bomb forward as much.

I think the results of the 7th and 8th teams are now more relevant to us.

Think we might have it was right at him.

Green's wages are over inflated for sure but we didn't pay a transfer fee for him so that balances it out somewhat. It was a sh*t pen today but the save was decent, odd positioning for their goal though I thought. On the whole Green has been one of or stand out performers, there were numerous occasions during our string of 1 nil-ers where Green who had, had nothing to do all game pulled of a great save to keep the three points. Also he's one of the guys who always acknowledges the fans and genuinely seems to care. He's a keeper (and a keeper) for me.

Exactly. Should have kept him on as we were playing a little better 2nd half and we were on top. We lost all momentum as soon as we went 4-4-2 and completely unbalanced the midfield!

I'd keep Hill for another season if we're still in this division. I'd keep him over Dunne (sorry nuts).

We need at least 3CBs in the summer, the odds are it will be hard to find them willing to come to us. Thats why I can see us giving hill another year as backup and looking for 2 more.
If I had the choice, I'd go for 3 in the 19-27 age range but that would be hard so we might not be left with any choice but to choose one of hill/Dunne.

It's going to be madness isn't it? with the number of players out of contract and the number of loanees we have. We'll be on our 5th different squad in 3 years.

I know, thats why I was banging on about younger players when no one was listening earlier in the season, promotion or not, there's going to be a huge rebuilding project.

The problem is with all these loans and old players, they have nothing to gain if we go up as there's no way they will be back.

Would anyone want Doyle, maiga, hughes, benayoun, AJ, zamora, hill, Dunne, Jenas, O'Neill etc back if we got promoted?
I wouldn't even want nearly all of them in this division,

Although I do agree we need more young blood in the team you do still need a balance and some older heads (those who can lead and really share their experience) are still beneficial. That said, I'm not sure who I would keep out of that list, certainly Hill as he continues to defy expectations (after his strike today we may as well have him up front), and I do admire Doyle and Johnson for work rate but the others I'm not fussed about. We are in for an interesting summer whatever happens.
