You're posting constant ****e tonight. What are we meant to do? Do we want to be playing Cannon? Of course, not but we don't have much of a choice. And Coventry didn't start dominating the ball because of Cannon, they came into that game because we overplayed out from the back and kept getting caught on it. Our right side was 2 players who had no match sharpness, and that was completely clear, but we had no choice We can keep playing the same XI and then act shocked when they keep getting injured, or we have to try something different.
We’ve got plenty of decent players to come back from injury and we’ll add a few more. However non realty make us better defensively, we continually change formation and continually give the ball away too easily. We give poor goals away which is a problem we’ve suffered from for ages now. I don’t want shota sacked but he quickly needs to addrsss these areas or I think the need for a proven championship manager grows.
We've made some great signings, but were also due to Injurys having to play alot of league one standard players still. Let's not forget alot playing we're almost relegation fodder, yet are being made out to be good players at this level. Cannon way out his depth, Elder, Jones, Longman and Williams all not good enough for this level. Slater should be backup too. Once Seri, Tufan, Pelkas, Sinik, Fleming, Sayademash, Mhand and whoever we sign on loan shortly, are all back then we won't see much of the above
We don’t cope with intensity that was their plan they’ve seen how many of our players are in and out and the attack and move do much quicker - we don’t let’s hope the added quality will improve things
No choice? Is Coyle injured? Could have started Williams there I guess. Could have gone 5 at the back to offer a bit more protection. Felt very weak down that side.
Saying it as it is, sorry not sorry your crumbling at me disagreeing with you. Cannon did not play well vs Coventry at all, and Slater isn't better than woods, Seri or tufan Talking absolutely bollocks
Coyle is injured, he certainly wouldn't have been dropped. HT said it's more precautionary. I don't think Williams is a better option, he's full of energy but no end product (there's plenty we can say that about)
Anyone that knows a thing about football wouldn't compare Slater & Woods, they're completely different midfielders.
Well which is it - precautionary or injured? I guess if the former he'll be fine for the weekend which is good news. You don't think Williams is better than a non-match fit Christie? Gotta disagree there.
No as Williams is a massive defensive liability. I always feel extremely uneasy with him at wing back and against Willock/Chair, no thank you at all.
If we hadn't a full team of injuries ... half that played tonight would be out on loan or gone before Thursday.... its where we are and we have to live with it... one thing is certain, January transfer window will not be about attack!!!...
Don't want to sound negative or single anyone out or anything but Elder needs releasing after that. Every bit of momentum we started to build, he ended. Genuinely reckon we'd have been better off with ten men. On a side note can we all agree to refer to Figueiredo as 'Slippy' from now on as well? Needs to change his boots. Hasn't realised after so many games. Won't be long before it costs us an important goal.
Dont get me wrong he does some good things. And has good moments I just don't think he influences the game consistently enough. But he's young, you watch Woods and he's constantly involved showing for the ball, organising, hitting space all the time, closing down, nicking the ball, you can see the experience
And that's why Woods starts, more experience, fits the system better as first receive off the defence. So your saying Slater starts over Seri or Tufan? As the two further advanced midfielders
